Retard question:

where do I get the reaper demo?

Or is it just the main download on the download age on their website?

Im looking for a VERY lightweight DAW this month that im not at home. But i get the feeling im going to abhor using reaper being an FL man.

REAPER

Beginning to learn this thing. Such a stark contrast from FL.

Probably gonna be bumping that Repear help thread these days, if there ever was one.

I've been wondering a lot lately where my music stacks up in the community. Like where I"m at as an electronic musician. I've been told my production value is terrible, while my compositions is amazing.

I don't know how to go about asking large groups of people this question either.

That dick joke sure was a flop!

STRATKAT bud I don't think it's worth worrying about how you rank amongst the rest of NG, or the rest of any group of musicians. Cause the way I see it, nobody's ever going to be the very best.

MIDI Keyboard

When it comes to MIDI keyboards I have no clue what I'm talking about, so if I say something which doesn't make sense then please correct me :P.

So, I didn't want to make a new thread because I know we have enough MIDI keyboard threads, but I'm interested in buying a MIDI Keyboard. I don't think a decent one exists in Malta (at least from all the shops I went in they all didn't sell any or had crappy ones) and even after googling for hours, every single MIDI keyboard I find which fits my needs doesn't get shipped to Malta or doesn't have Windows 7 listed in its compatible Operating Systems. I got pretty close with one on eBay but then discovered that it doesn't ship to Malta...

I'm looking for a really simple and cheap MIDI keyboard (around $100, maybe a little more). A pitch/modulation knob, a few controllers if I want to set parameters (if that's what they're for... MIDI Keyboard noob here...), at least 3 octaves and at most 5, and velocity-sensitive keys. Nothing else; no sounds that come with the keyboard, no extra knobs, no fancy user interfaces, nothing of the sort. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you already checked and found a bunch that you can't ship to Malta you could try a different store but geographically speaking Malta looks like the sort of country that would be an absolute BITCH to send things to! I always liked the Carillon Control series, cheap as chips but they're basically rebadged M-Audio Oxygens so they work well.

It seems like pretty much all MIDI keyboards and MIDI devices that went into production before 2010 are quite problematic with Windows 7, unfortunately.

Thomann - serious music store, shipping (I think) everywhere. I got most of my new stuff from there.

Orders

My psychiatrist told me to socialize more. So... Hi, and check out my contest (Assuming you've favorited me at some point, if not, ignore me).

There... I have fulfilled my duty to be more social, I'm gonna go hide under my rock again.

Thanks a lot! I'm checking out what they've got - hopefully I'll find something I want (and they can ship it over to Malta) but so far none have said they're compatible with Windows 7.

Rocks

I've pretty much lived under one for a long time and have recently vacated it and started actually hanging out with people. My parents think I'm spending to much time out now than wasting most of my day at home. FML.

Primus

So I don't know if we've got any Primus fans here, but I sure as hell am one. Now, they're going on a tour through Europe, and are gonna play in my country. I figured there weren't so much Primusfans here seeing I've never even met another one, but the first day of presale the show was already sold out. I was pissed off, because I tried buying a ticket the same night, only to see that there weren't any left. So I did what any other rational fan would do: I bought a ticket to see them in Germany. Those arrived a few months ago and I'm planning a whole trip around it. It will be awesome.
But not as awesome as this: today I got a phonecall from someone that he's selling his tickets for Primus here.

tl;dr: I'm gonna see Primus twice in one month and in two different countries. Yes, I AM awesome.

I dare you, I doubledare you to click this image.

You could try buying tickets to a baseball game then crossing out baseball and writing primus.
