For you surprise (or not), I'm not coming from Tumblr (I didn't have an account there to begin with).
I came here to make an account in advance so I have a place to dump my stuff once I consider myself ready to become a new artist/musician/whatever. I slummed around Newgrounds years ago but the publicity of the Tumblr exodus made me realize I could upload HTML5 games here. So I dug up my LD30 submission and gave it a new home, it's previous using the old Unity web plugin.

Hi. I used to have an account here around seven or eight years ago, but I really don't feel like reading whatever garbage I posted on that account, so I made a new one! Haven't really touched this site in seven years, but since it's recently been getting some attention I thought I might as well make a new account and stick some art on it. I mainly do pixelart, since I can't use a drawing tablet to save my own life. There's already some art up on my profile that I did a while ago.

i'm not necessarily new as i've had this account since 2013 but didn't really use it however with the tumblr purge happening i felt now was a good time to rediscover my love for this community and the content i've grown to love on here.

So here's a question to think on.
The quickest way we can address multi-image is to use this new text editor for the author commentary in the art submission form. You will still upload your primary art piece and set a thumbnail but in the commentary space, you can pop in all your alt pictures, wips, speedpaint embeds, sketchfab embeds, etc.
We would put the commentary in the same box as the art, so if you want to have a straight panel of images (like a comic), you can... Or you can do all sorts of commentary between the pictures and embeds as well.
There are TWO things that I think might not be enough though:
Depending on how big a deal that is, we might still need to create a more custom system. I think using the rich text editor for commentary is a good move regardless though so it doesn't hurt to start there.

i've kind of really been getting sick of the handling of Some Other Site lately, so i've been trying to branch out and start posting my art elsewhere. hopefully things improve back there but i sincerely doubt it
anyway, happy to be here! i basically know nothing about this community and how it rolls so far, but i'm looking forward to scoping the joint out. i draw comics, write fiction/fanfiction, and screenplays. or i at least try to do all of those things. i'm also really into movies and filmmaking and my big fave is hot fuzz, but my very favorite piece of media is psychonauts.

I'd be against using the rich text editor for the sake of consistency. Not being able to access alternative versions of the same image with the same quality would piss off a lot of people (I know some people that are very anal about these things), And I don't think littering the art portal with alternative versions would be a responsible thing to do to appease that demographic.
Take your time if you have to.

Hey there! I'm Ryou, an amateur artist from the edge of the world. Yeah, I'm here because of the tumblr mess. I have galleries on other platforms too, but tumblr was pretty important to me because it allowed posting a lot of stuff - different media types, wide range of ratings, and so on. Newgrounds fits my needs from what I can see so far, and looks nice and welcoming.
I can't say my drawings are consistent, I draw both sfw and occasional nsfw things, fanart and original characters. Of course I hope to share the latter here some day, though I'm still thinking how it can be organised. But for now, there's only a bunch of artworks in the profile, and an art thread. Hope you'll like it!

Hello, I'm another Tumblr refugee, huehuehue. I came around from the first wave of Exodus in late November.
Despite drawing for quite some time now, I never managed to gain any traction due to an woefully sluggish upload rate. I'm currently trying to experiment on a style that is simple and quick for me while still maintaining a pleasing aesthetic. There's a lot on my To-Draw List, so I might spend most of next year on that... ^~^U I also write on the side. And VA when something compels me, always been an interest of mine.
Oh! Right. I should prolly point out, I've been doing a lot of NSFW stuff lately. This might persist for a while, while I'm still in the rut, but occasionally there's something tame sprinkled in for variety. :P

When I first joined I mostly did traditional art and was just learning how to use my tablet and photoshop.
