Welcome to the Newgrounds KinitoPET Collab, an art collab all about the friendly, fun-loving computer companion himself, Kinito!


KINITO-HUH?

If you’re not aware, KinitoPET is a PC game about interacting with a fictional early-2000s desktop companion named Kinito, all on a virtual computer screen. The interactions you have with Kinito start out friendly and wholesome, but as you progress further in the game, things start slowly getting... less friendly.


THE COLLAB

This collab will be an art collab, where you’ll submit your drawings of Kinito and/or his crew. At the end, not only will your drawing be featured in the collab playlist, it’ll also appear as an image file in a little mini interactive desktop, akin to the original game!


THE RULES

Entries must be submitted to this thread. It’s also recommended that you upload your entry to your own art page, so it can be included in the playlist. The guidelines for submission are as follows:

  1. Maximum rating of T.
  2. No AI art, please and thank you.
  3. Drawings must include either Kinito or any of the other members of his crew (references can be found near the bottom).
  4. Non-pixel art must be a resolution of at least 500x500. Pixel art can be lower, however.
  5. Your image must be either JPG, PNG, or WebP.
  6. Extremely low-effort/quality submissions will not be accepted.


DEADLINE

The deadline for the collab is May 14th.

This means you have exactly a month to create and submit your entries.


THE ORGANISERS

@GlitchBuddy (me) - I’ll be responsible for organising and curating the entries. Additionally, I’ll be helping in the design of the interactive desktop.


@Prismisho - He'll be responsible for creating the interactive desktop, and programming all its little nooks and crannies.


REFERENCES

I’ve had to put these as image links because the images take up too much vertical space. These images have been taken from the KinitoPET Wiki on Fandom and have been re-uploaded by me to the Newgrounds file dump.

i agonized a bit over the planning for this, but sped through almost the entire rest of the process today lmfao. might check over this & change some things tomorrow (it’s late here so it’s very possible i could be missing some mistakes), but for now here it is

i think i’ll be calling it finished since there’s not much else for me to add to it. two questions: should i upload the drawing or should i wait until the deadline/when the gallery is completed? also, when i do upload the drawing, is there a specific tag i should use for the collab? It's up to you whether you upload it now or wait until the deadline, although I'd say not to upload it any later than that as we want to get the playlist out as soon after the deadline as we can. There are no specific tags you need to use for the collab.
