i were a little supriced when i found a game like this on a website and not as a downloadable game.
the first few min i were entertained, but the more i play'd the more i saw what could've been done diffrent.. for an example, i kept getting stuck in the stone-pavement because the character coudlnt walk smoothly over it. another thing is that the enemies shoot towards your possition, not at you in general. moving either left or right will have you avoid most of the enemy fire.
there is no pause button, so when i were done playing the game and decided to write this review, i had to refresh the page in order to concentrate. and there is a lack of instructions ingame, as for a fact, i didnt know that i had 3 weapons from the start, as i tought that each wave gave you diffrent guns. i accidently scrolld with my mouse and discovered a sniper.. i saw the description later, but it would be nice to have some tips about it in the first wave. giving everyone a fair chance
let's talk about the sound.. i get that you're a fan of the CS franchise, so you use the same sound from the weapon cause googling for prper audio doesnt always get you the best of quality.. imnot gonna pick on that, as it was ok, but it didnt really fit the rest of the game, it was too reminising of CS. adding some sound filters would have done the trick. there is no sound from enemies spawning or running.. so at any moment given, you could have a shotgun slinger at your back. the only indication of an enemy is him hitting you..
the lack of music stole most of the tence fighting, in combinition of the amount of bullets you can swallow before going down and because of the steel health, there were no real challange to it.. sure, killing an enemy is mot of the time fun, but when you can take 10 times the amount of damage your enemy can, thats where the fun stops.
as for the texture, i felt that it was rushed as they were abit shiny and not that clear. as it is just a game on a web page, i wont critizise that too much. this is just a minor detail in that case.
if you fix all that and add some power up/level/upgrades, i could imagne this could get on steam greenlight, which i am for. sure, there's alot of survival wave games, but they all have some sort of zombie theme. i'd like to see just a normal sort of enemy survival wave game. you did a good job with the game, but you gotta tweak those final things and it will be alot better. as for now, i see this as an alpha.
