Congo is a minimal strategy game of area domination. Master its mechanics to overcome your rivals.

Place your pieces to claim the ground and block the expansion of your rivals... the only rule is not to place them next to pieces of a different colour. Score the most points in each of the four rounds to be the winner!

Play against rivals all over the Web or try yourself against your friends in offline mode.

I find this game interesting but there are some bugs or strange behavior such as a round finished when there still are vacancies left for two players (vacancies that are points we can take, not border between two player fields).

Also, the local multiplayer is not working. We can not write a name, and we can not play (both problems are probably linked as I suppose that we need names in order to play).

Finaly, not a big deal but the AI seems to be random. I am pretty sure we can program it to be smarter (using some good strategies). A good AI is probably used for local multiplayer, as we may be able to set the difficulty. The online is done to play with other players so the AI is ok for that (in my opinion).

Thanks a lot for your accurate analysis!

I guess that behavior you mention is a normal game mechanic: you only have 12 pieces to use so when you run out of pieces that round ends for you, regardless of vacancies in the board).
Also notice that vacancies are not equal to points, you get points when others players get blocked, and the number of points is equal to their left pieces. I hope i have explained it clear, if not, ask again :-)

Thanks for the bug detection. I've just uploaded a new version correcting it.

You i've been very accurate with AI analysis, but as you said, we are focused in a player vs player games, either local and online. Even so, we have some improvements for AI ready, we are testing and balancing it and we will upload it as soon as possible.

Greetings!

Automatic dislike to this game ... you don't get to start fresh? I jumped into a bots roll on the 3rd round with no points. I don't mind losing a fair game, but that's pretty crappy. Otherwise pretty simple concept. Having a time limit is nice.

It'd be better if you started fresh games, not take a bots roll.

Otherwise ... game isn't super catchy or interesting. Graphics are definitely nothing to write home about. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5. Good concept, neat game, not super catchy or interesting and the graphics quality is non-existent. The music matches the theme, however, so +.5 for that.

Really nice game - I really appreciate that there's time limit for thinking and that you can play against other players and bots in the same time (I enjoyed much more, but I wanted to point this out), but sometimes it took random move instead of me before the time went out.

For the purpose of just an interesting game, but not necessarily a well-done one, this is a good one.

There are some flaws that just make this unviable for high ratings, but it's unique.

I cant click 'start game' on either types of games, local and multiplayer.

What system (PC, mobile, tablet) and browser? Thanks!
