Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Very bad arcade. This is first experience in construct 3.

Reviews

It's definitely not fun giving a low rating, especially since it'll be permanent.

Just to get it out of the way, things like lack of instructions could easily be fixed, so that's not a part of the rating. But adding some instructions would be helpful.

And the controls are a bit difficult using a mouse; however, it looks okay for mobile devices. Adding a keyboard key for firing would be helpful.

Now, the main deciding factors for the rating are game concept, graphics, and perceived level of dedication.

-1 star:
The game becomes impossible to play within seconds. Dodging asteroids while waiting for the laser weapon to charge back up; while moving the wavy objects (which travel in threes) out of the way; and while trying to plug three male connectors into the correct female connectors without accidentally throwing one of them off of the screen; all at the same time just doesn't work out. Especially without any respawning, special dodging powers (that might be picked up as items throughout the game), or better weapons.

-1 star:
Graphic-wise, currently, the player's sprite has coloring outside of the outlines. If it looked a bit neater, then it would help. It's a bit rough on the eyes and it goes hand-in-hand with the next point. And the particle spraying doesn't do Construct 3 any justice. There are lots of particle features, in C3, with which to play around easily, while getting an instant preview in the layout editor.

-1 star:
Being awarded one out of the three C3 licenses against the rest of the content submitted in this contest would be questionable. This game was published/updated on May 27th. The C3 Jam deadline was extended to May 30th. At least the player sprite could've been polished up a bit to improve the content quality.

+1 star:
Even though the graphics aren't great, there are numerous of sprites with different colors and animations; the background has an animation suitable for the setting of the game; and the laser beam actually looks pretty cool.

+1 star:
Regardless of the downfalls and shortcomings, it's still a game and it offers multiple challenges with different solutions, which conform to the "good things come in threes" theme. The player has to connect three components to three others, based on their matching colors, to make a destructive wavy force disappear; move long, wavy objects out of the way (or off of the screen), which travel in groups of threes; and shoot asteroids or dodge them (when the gun is charging) by moving the player's sprite horizontally. So it's definitely a game and it fits the given theme.

Ways to have received a higher rating would've been to have:

1. made the game challenges a bit more spread out and manageable (see note below);

2. polished the player's sprite up a bit and made the particle physics a bit more fierce (as one might expect, given the setting and ease with C3);

3. and made improvements when more time was provided. No game is perfect, so there's always improvements/modifications that could be made.

For the first item, perhaps, slowing the scroll speed would help. And adding things to help the player revive or recover during game play, such as earning respawn points, acquiring dodging/protective powers (or armor), and picking up more destructive weapons.

I like the Effects but else its well Meh

Even if it's your first experience with an engine, I wouldn't recommend posting it. It will give other users a bad impression of you and make it harder to find "serious" projects.
No criticism on the game, It's your first time with the engine so this is expected, it's just a matter of best practices.

So the art is really lacking, there's no sound, and no instructions on how to play.

It took me 4 turns to realize the fire button had to charge and needed to be clicked, and even more turns to figure out the ship moved by dragging it.

Having an on-screen button AND drag controls shows you were probably thinking about this as a mobile game, which I applaud you for. Unfortunately, it makes the game mostly unplayable with a mouse since you can't move and fire at the same time. I would suggest adding keyboard input, at least for the fire button.

Just by the fact you tried making this mobile friendly shows you have potential to do great things. Keep working at it!
