Cosmo Beat

A rhythm/shooter hybrid with an original soundtrack! Beat enemies to the beat!

When alien drones cause a power outage in her city, Cosmo and her best friend Barkley suit up and take aim at the invaders.

Shoot drones to keep Cosmo's suit powered up. Your foes are hardy, but they have a weakness - their shields drop in time with the music.

Use WASD or arrow keys to move, and the spacebar and nearby keys to shoot.

Cool graphics and audio. Just, it's maybe just me, but it's kinda difficult to shoot one of those drones right on the beat without losing power quickly...

Just...perfect. The visuals are amazing and the gameplay is a lot of fun. It's not your old-fashioned Galaga: it's an entirely new take on it.

One of the best games I have ever seen on this website. Combining Galaga and rhythm games is a very creative idea... I love this game alot and I see alot of potential for what could come in the future. Overall this is a fantastic masterpiece for what it is. 72 hours..... AMAZING!!!

I think there's a lot of potential for a beautiful game. The difficulty jacks up suddenly in level 3, since you suddenly need to learn how to get the blue drone things along with everything else in order to stay powered.
Beyond the difficulty curve, I really enjoy it. It's just a hair shy of a "rage game"; every time I die I know it's because I screwed something up, not that it's impossible. And the meld between beat and shoot em up games is well done, I think. The soundtrack lends a lot to the gameplay, and I enjoy the simplistish backgrounds.
Characters could use some more development in-game, and I was never able to read their dialogue during play, since my eyes were focused elsewhere.
tl;dr sharp difficulty curve, but great concept.

This has great potential to be a rather fun game, however you kinda throw players into the game not to say it's a bad thing, but it's rather serious difficulty spike especially into the later levels. Should ease them with follow the rhythm and should have a better way of introducing the new enemies, rather than having the level playing through and have a combo broken by a missed beat.

Can only do so much on a 72 hour deadline though but it's really fun
