Good, but it coold be great
This is a fun game. I enjoy the concept, and I definitely liked the feel of the game, but I think it needs some tweaking to make it great.
1. Collision detection: once an enemy has been destroyed, hitting it should not cause damage. In this game, there is a definite delay between the death of an enemy and it's ability to damage the player.
2. I liked the limit on the number of shots, but it needed two things: a way to track the number of shots remaining, and a way to relod at will. It's hard to determine if a move is doable when I have no bloody clue if I can actually shoot out an enemy.
3. Music selection. The music was good, but I would have liked to choose from a liist. Not exactly a vital change, but it wouldn't hurt.
4. Make evloution worth something. Yes, the game gets harder as the player evolves, but this gives an incentive to AVOID evolving. Mabye allow upgrades at the end of the level based on evolution rank, or even give more tangible upgrades atuomatically as the game runs. The way it is now, there is no real valuse to evolving, other than making life harder.
