Reviews for "Fellowship of Kings RPG"

AAAARGH!

Such a cute little game! However, the quests were easy, REALLY easy, and the battle sequences did get a little repetitive.....can't really comment on the sound as I was listening to the radio while playing.

However, what really got me were the bugs. Small things such as items I gained through battles ended up in my "sell item" box were confusing but not bad as such....however, I tried to buy the chainmail gauntlets 3 times and every single time they failed to appear in my inventory! That, I'm afraid, led me to give a lower score than I would have liked - I worked damn hard for those gauntlets! Work out the bugs and add a little variety to quests and battling (like the hero using magic? Apologies if this appears later in the game, I didn't get past the second dungeon) and this would probably get a 7 from me, ie great but not stunning.

Eh...

Not bad, not good either.

Really?

Really you just ripp off zelda? ya i suggest next time make your own ppl.

Gameplay lacks all variety

I recommend this game if you are interested in fighting hundreds battles where the number of enemies doesn't matter, because they attack you one at a time, and you do nothing but whack them with your sword and drink the occasional potion. Strategy is utterly absent from the gameplay.

The game would probably be more fun if the battle sequences (boss fights are no different) were replaced by a summary of how many enemies were killed, how much damage you took, and how many potions you had to quaff.

The functions of the stats are not really explained, and I am not sure that the elemental resistances actually did anything (though AC seemed to work against both magic and physical attacks).

It's too bad there are no anonymous reviews; my only defense is that I felt like my scathing review would lack moral force if I didn't suffer though the gameplay until the end. Those were four hours that could have been better spent watching paint dry...
