Background is based on the Newgrounds colors and it's sorta just happened :) It could be some wasteland or desert, that's open to imagination.

So thank you for this newground related fanart. Seriously. Always been a sucker for a hot redhead, and I know yellow & orange are staple newgrounds colors, but the way you did them here makes them look warmer than usual given the setting (which looks like a desert/wasteland) and I dig that.

Thank you. Jamie Hewlett is brilliant, love his art. You should check out his Tank Girl, and the 21st Century Tank Girl. That's a new comic with lots of great artist involved. It's crazy, fun and full of awesome drawings.
I saw only pictures of Rocket Girl, haven't got a chance to see actual comic. But it looks promising.
I've started the background with the Newgrounds colors as a guide, and it's just happened :) It suits well in this style I'm doing.
