Very Nice
Good graphics, interesting choice for music, very ragtime style. Enjoyed it, got to level 8 before I royally screwed up. Nice idea with the darkness, and always fun to search for the ever elusive 1up pellet.

Surprising!
I was less than excited to see yet another Snake remake (Resnake?), but this one totally delivers.
Having multiple levels as opposed to one big empty room where you eat pellets until your snake envelops the screen and you can't possibly move anymore is old and stale (I mean, at least save that crap as a bonus mode or something). So, bravo on that. Ten pellets, done, next level -- perfect.
So many "resnakes" do nothing to add to the original; I'd argue that most are worse than the original, actually. Yours takes our evergrowing protagonist and throws him in a dark room, and it changes everything. Just that simple little twist to the game play renews the whole thing, and now, finally, I can play Snake again, with a feeling of renewal -- it is Spring indeed.
Your lighting engine is cool to watch in action, and it adds a nice 3D feel to an otherwise two-dimensional game. Another great add was the shy 1up pellets that would crop up every so often to challenge me.
You could make a pretty sweet Pac-Man remake with this engine. I'd be down for some dark mazes filled with ghosts. ;-)
Excellent job. I'm adding this to my favorites.
The profile icon I have is the same symbol I have a tattoo of on my arm. It's the layout of level four, from the Microsoft version of Snake that came with QBasic, Nibbles. So, I have some history with the game, and love what you've done with it.

I really liked the concept, haven't seen a version of snake like that before. The graphics were also very nice. I just wish I was better at turning right alongside a wall, always to early or too late.

Animation is great, graphics, music, the general feel, difficulty, everything is great, but the controls could have been more responsive.
