Reviews for "Aidan's Wonder mini demo"

Stunning

I love the simplicity of the art style, yet it's not badly drawn or animated. Beautiful work there! I like the way it's not too obvious as well with what you have to do. Means you have to click around a bit and see what's what. I have to say i enjoyed being able to drag things around, that's different. It's not usually found in games, adds a nice little perk there, and i did spend a couple of minutes just opening and closing things :) I also loved the floorboard, nice work. Not really obvious until you step on it. The hat under the bed was cute as well ^.^ He looks sweet in it. And as for breaking the doorknob? That just made me laugh! Mum will love this =.=
All in all a delightful little demo if a bit short. I hope the whole thing will be up soon! I very much look forward to playing it :) Excellent work and thank you!

Thank you, appreciate the review and glad you liked it!

aside from being glitchy . . .

. . . This was a fun little game. The interaction with and between the hand and kid was great. I liked being able to let the kid hold the pipe, not that you really needed him to in this scene unless he can't leave without it. I didn't understand throwing out the pillow except that it was kinda funny. It was a bit annoying that the pipe suddenly disappeared from the imaginary hand after I pulled it the first time and then the normal interaction points didn't work anymore. Otherwise, great storybook atmosphere. Looking forward to the real thing.

korded responds:

Thanks! I want the game to be as freeform as possible - if you want to be able to throw the pillow out the window, why shouldn't you? Though, within reason.. especially considering how large the environment will be in the final game, I don't want to go too nuts. I'll try hard to iron out as many bugs as possible with the full version.

Pretty good.

Eh. Maybe too short for a 'demo.'

But I so can't wait to see how it'll develop into a full game.

To by honest I wanted to hi tthe kid with the pipe :D

korded responds:

Hah, yeah it's mostly to showcase the gameplay and let people know something is in the works, and I doubt I'll be incorporating any pipe-beating into the final version.

Haha, wonderful.

I threw all his stuff out the window. The things I don't understand is why the hand is so far from the mouse. Bit confusing. Also, what's honestly the point of Aidan when it's his imaginary friend doing all the work? :l

Great game, great graphics.

korded responds:

Thanks for the comments, hand issue will be looked at, and while controlling Aidan is primarily done to navigate the environment (I'm not a fan of clicking arrow buttons) there will be instances in the full version where moving him around and working together will be really beneficial!

I like the game controls!

Although, there seem to be occasional bugs (I sometimes can't drag the window). And it's a bit frustrating that it's only a demo so I don't even know if I "finished" it... (got stuck after finding the pipe and throwing out the pillow).

korded responds:

Thanks! You'll know when the demo is over, it's pretty short - did you try swinging the pipe? You could probably break something with it.
