Reviews for "Epos"

love how there's no glitches and love the all keyboard control. very nice polished game.

Epos is one of my favorite games in the whole site, it has a lot of different elements that make it so enjoyable. But i think that it has a lot of potential to be much more amazing.

nice one keyboard controlled nice pieces of music but god i was laughing out loud when i as fighting the raging boulder

9/10 Great game, I had a lot of fun, but not quite perfect.

I disagree on some of the points made by others. For example, I love that you made this a keyboard-based game as I absolutely abhor using my mouse to play games. Second, while I don't think inventory (i.e. weapons and armor) are necessary, I do think more could have been done with the money system (i.e. permanent upgrades to stats).

Another thing that bothered me about this game was the secret bosses in general. (Although, the "raging boulder" was a hilarious joke). What I mean is, that the secret bosses weren't always easy to find and I'm not sure if I fought all of them. The fact that I did get all the medals suggests that I did, but the game made it seem like there was one in every area. I didn't find one in the beginning area, in the snowy mountains or in that ghost town; were there bosses in these areas that I didn't find?

But, let's focus on what you did right. This was a fairly straightforward RPG game that kept me entertained. I played and got every medal on challenge mode, even then, I didn't find grinding to be too bad... until I tried to fight Admiral Tip-Top who was very difficult (Beat him on my third try).

Tips for people trying to beat him:
-There are signets that resist fire and lightning, use them.
-Make sure that everyone in the party has the heal spell, you will do more healing than fighting with him.
-You can always beat Admiral Horn first, he is much easier and he drops a good signet.

General tips for players:
-There are 21 signets in the game. Some are purchasable and some are earned by fighting bosses.
-Magic is far more effective that physical attacks in this game in general. There are only a few enemies for which physical attacks are even needed.
-The initial 4 spells are all very useful in different situations. The spells that cost 3 TP are not worth it at all, unless they're the ones for healing.
-Make sure everyone masters their healing spell.
