Theres a fine line between a difficult game and a flat out annoying one...this game crossed that line. not bad on the graphics though. sound was quite irritating rather than "scary".

Pros?
~Creepy aura.
~Some decent puzzles.
~Decent story (except when the doc becomes corny).
Cons?
~A lot of lame puzzles.
~Some items either too small or too camouflaged to be noticed (see also Small Key, Hammer Rod, and light lever).
~Needing to click areas that are overlooked (like the bushes behind the generator room and the boarded up door)...there should have been a clue to send people over there.
~Weak boss fight (the demon is too in your face, and the shattered notes aren't very noticeable).
~Demonic symbol is supposed to be a PENTAGRAM, not the star of David.
~Why not use the scissors to just cut the rope instead of burning it?
~No clues on how to start the generator.
~Why not use the handy cam's night vision to go through the dark tunnel?
~Soft to non-existent audio.
Overall?
This is a disappointment. A major disappointment. I like point and click adventures, but this one (like many others) sadly requires the walkthrough to get some hint on where to go next.
There were also a couple graphical glitches: On the safe, the outer dial seems to come off its axel (or whatever holds it), and when in the dark tunnel, the shadows don't move when you look left or right (it becomes confusing).
Dude, you wanted an upside down PENTAGRAM, not the STAR OF DAVID. Some overly sensitive easily butthurt person is gonna see it and call it Anti-Semitic.
Like many others, I was very excited, but such poor execution made it completely unfun.

Logical sense be damned... because
It's a ghost game. Ghosts and other things follow a pattern of illogical thought, that residual thoughts and feelings would cause a spirit to "haunt" or stay in a location. So there is your illogical answer Dottorius.
Game was good. I didn't feel all that bad about having to knock out the cop, but I found it a bit odd that you couldn't just stumble through the dark or find the hidden door without the help of the handycam. The scissors seemed to serve no purpose, so my only rant about that is if you're going to make us look for an item, make sure it serves a purpose. The, Demon guardian, seemed much like a re-mixed Diablo monster. Plus it was very odd that you had a life bar for that battle and the demon couldn't just take it's claws and rip you into little bitty pieces.
That's about all the stuff I can say about this game. So now for the pro's and cons.
Pro's
Simple gameplay. Long as you understand that you have to follow patterns and check everything.
Interesting final boss battle.
Cons
Needs the walkthrough. I couldn't have finished this game without the walkthrough. So that takes away from the fun.
Well hidden items. I couldn't find the stupid battery for the flashlight until I looked in the generator room again.
Badly placed scares. I really couldn't find any part of this very scary. The girl appearing when you opened the door in one of the rooms. The girl dropping from the ceiling when there were no reports of a hanging death in the reports. Plus the Tab button goblin face or whatever face scare.
Final score, 5/5, 7/10. Mainly because there were elements that deserved some revamping and the fact that the walkthrough was a needed element in an otherwise simple game.

man i've been enjoying playing horror point n click recently but this was disappointing. Looks pretty good but just doesn't work :(
also am i missing something? perhaps i'm just ignorant of how the system works but...
- it tops the weekly top 5 games yet gets 2nd place award??
