Good atmosphere but puzzles need work

I enjoyed the horror part of the game. Some might think the jumpscares are a bit cheap but most people have become so jaded over the years that its pretty much the only way to keep me them on edge.

The puzzles really need some additional going through though. There is too much pixelhunting in dark enviroments and some item are needlessly unobtainable until the game dictates otherwise. The latter wouldn't be so bad if you could atleast interact with the items initially but as is the player will disregard them as part of the background.

I also think two of the puzzles actually have errors in them. Unless some form of bizarro maths were used the third and fourth digits of the "correct" safecode should be switched. Also the text your supposed to reference in a puzzle doesn't have an eight row, though that one shouldn't get the player stuck atleast.

Finally puzzles that require a lenghty redo if failed preferably shouldn't include trial and error elements. Though I guess its possible that I missed some reference to symbols earlier in the game.

walkthrough

what's up with the redirecting the whole time when i search for the walkthrough? I never get to the walkthrough but always another window for the game at playhub. I needed it cuz when i get the iron pipe i can't knock the guard down and i don't see anything else i could do. it annoys the piss outa me

ok...

it ok but it not scary and the puzzel are a bit too easy...

Could use some work but the fear effect is there!

I'd look at some of the comments other users made about the spelling and difficulty in comprehension. This game didn't attempt to be pop-up in your face scary but rather the music or at times lack of, reminded me of the best of silent hill environments. It def. scared me. I had to turn the sound down because I was literally afraid. All in all- awesome execution of mood manipulation but could use some work!

Interesting...

I say this as someone who used to be scared sh*tless from things like this but now seemingly thrives off of them.

The game is good for a scare, that's for sure. The ending was a bit anti-climatic due to the Text ending as opposed to an animation ending. Even if you did something like where the Ghost spoke the Catherine, that would have sufficed.

Also, the battle system with the demon at the end is glitched a little. should someone go through all the spells to ward off the demon while you look for the pieces, some of the spells stay on screen (like the end part of the longer spells stay on the screen along with the easy, 3-part spells). The game does good with cycling back to the older spells (the ones used first) but it can be confusing.

Other than that, it was pretty decent.
