Pretty nice
I actually really like the designs of everything, but it seems to be a bit lacking in the story department, and it seems to lag up a bit towards the end.
But I can definitely see this becoming something great.

nicely done. and its obvious that you put effort into this. im guessing this is mostly frame by frame?
Not a lot of people realize how difficult that is to do.
some suggestions:
your zoom in on the mouse gets a little choppy also..
maybe add a stop to the end of the flash (with a replay button)....something i wish i would have done in my submission. trust me that makes a difference.
Also make it a longer.. I know what its like to submit something half finished or really short.. its tempting but definately not worth it...yet another mistake i made. sigh....

It was pretty good.
Only thing I would recommend is trying to increase your framerate as it was a bit chalky at times, that or my computer is utter shit. But anyways a framerate of at least 30 should give you smoother animation.

For being new to animating I thought you did a pretty good job - I can't imagine how hard it was to make each frame; I did like the art; the owl was cute. :)
