Reviews for "Age of Defense 4"

Should be called Age of Defense 3 1/2

Cool, but worse than the previous AoD games. Except for AoD 3 which is almost exactly the same. The graphics and music are great once more, but the gameplay could need some improvement.
The main thing with this is that it lacks some strategy. You and the computer both send out soldiers over and over again, and the rock can be thrown not too far away. The first two levels are really easy, then it suddenly gets real hard.
I like the way there are different types of soldiers, and their skills, yet these don't seem to make evey unit and skill unique and usefull enough, compared to another unit.
The worst part of this game is in my opinion the prada system (weird name btw) which simply charges itself, fast and equally to the oppononent's prada, which makes it completely redundant.

I overal, good game, but for the next sequel you might want to add some new things or really improve some elements, instead of doing the opposite. Amaze me like you did with the first AoD!!!! ;)

@chrisbryant99:
It's not just clicking to throw boulders. There are soldiers, and you can also unlock or buy soldiers, upgrades etc. after every level.

@Ericho:
To win a level, you must let a number of soldiers get into the opponent's building. At the left top part of the screen it says something like 'defense 5/5' which means it takes 5 soldiers that have to breach, to win.

Good, but buggy and needs improvement

The game, in general, is fun for the first 10-15 minutes, than it just becomes repetitive and not challenging. I couldn't bring my to complete it because it was too easy. I just kept spamming bomber jets and shot every airborne unit down with a bazooka. It worked every level, but even than every level seemed to be painstakingly long.

The graphics of the units are well done, although even there seem to be bugs.

I'd say;
- Ramp up the challenge/balance the game
- Fix dozens of bugs (too many to list, but I'm sure you're aware of them)
- Exponentially increase the resources gained after every level
- Give players something to do with excess character points
- Nerf the guns, as they're way too powerful (except for the lasergun, that thing was useless)
- Give better gfx feedback on the players weapon - how long the cooldown is when he's offscreen, change the mouse pointer into an aiming target - produce a projectile when a gun is shot

To be quite honest, this looks more like an alpha version of a great game, however, it still was entertaining.

Age of War

So similar to age of war, I'm surprised this passed judgement
OK Game.

Good game

However, still some major bugs in it. In some cases, the computer would spawn 30 enemies in the span of 10 seconds while the Prada would go into the negative digits. Makes getting past certain stages much harder than necessary. Nice work though.

Very boring, Repetitive. Grind-tastic.

Grind. Repetitive, uninteresting actions.

I got bored to tears within 15 seconds of playing the first level. Just either defend for all eternity.. of click the basic troop again and again and again and again (ect).

Progression? More of the same! Grind, repeat.

So (not) exciting.

I didnt find it fun in any way at all. Its just "age of war" with a twist that doesnt add anything significantly fun to it.
