it got all cartoony, looked pretty badass till they started running and ended up doing the tom & jerry thing (same old cat chase mouse)........with more time you could come up with a good fight scene at least

Interesting, good...but a little disappointing.
Definitely not for the execution. The animation was fantastic, the voices weren't bad and the music was spot-on. As far as the technical aspects of this submission go, I don't have much bad to say. The dialogue is the only thing that threw me a bit. Some of it felt a little jilty and uneven, but it was far from bad.
I was really just a little disappointed in how it was all carried out. The idea in itself is a good one, and it had a lot of potential. But I feel like it ultimately fell short. I understand, you were likely pressed for time, so you couldn't do a lot more than what you did, and what you did was fantastic, I just would have liked to see a little more show from the interim guards after all the buildup. I find it funny that they were fairly gung-ho for the first (and biggest) beast that came through, but with the addition of the other two, significantly smaller beasts, they turned and ran as quickly as they did. It's just not something that makes a whole lot of sense to me.
That said, the chase scene was great, and it all led up to a really nice end. I just wish there had been a little more in the middle to showcase the crew. But I guess these can't all be fighty submissions, and what you did do in this was great. I can't count off too much for a lack of what I'd have liked to see.
