Reviews for "Kazahana: No Exit 2"

This game has nothing to do with its predecessor

Like most people have pointed out, the main problem with the game is in the puzzle involving arrangement of the Students, and their respective Foods. Out of the clues given, I could only use Clues #2,5 and 7, to arrange the Bento, Ice Cream, Fishcake, Keigo and Catrina. From my perspective, the other clues are useless.

I cannot see how the Zodiacs, and Hobbies are connected in anyway to the characters. And I've seen the Youtube Video Guide, which disappointingly did not explain it either. No elements in the game showed any signs/clues as to which student had which Hobby, or their Birthdate. There is therefore, as I deemed it, NO WAY of finding it out. The clues are probably left out as a mistake?

I don't know how some people like the user below named [mattblack] managed to solve this, unless through the method of trial and error like the others have suggested.

This sequel in my opinion is not as good as the first. And for those of you suspecting that the clues given here may be obtained from the first, rest assured, it is unrelated. I've tried the first game myself to prove it. I'd say this game is bad for the 4 years in it's making.

For those looking for a puzzle game that's solvable by wits rather than luck, look elsewhere, for this will leave you bald from over-scratching your head.

game was okay

i couldnt beat it because i was confused by the code for the data book. like is it just the numbers in a random order or is there a certain way that you need to put them in. like even in the walkthough it doesn't make it very clear because the numbers are different. well if anybody can help please tell me.

Lifepoint1 responds:

It's a matter of subtraction. You'll see the second number on the bottom right is negative.

Okay if someone can explain this...

Where do you find the birthdate or zodiac symbol for you and the people represented by the four cutouts? The game requires enough guess work as is but even when I looked at the walkthrough nothing seems to indicate who is what Zodiac. If it's mentioned in the first game than that's just terrible game design as I should not have to play a four year old game just to beat its sequel.

As for the rest of the puzzle solving most is just mindless clicking in the hopes that you find the clues. There are one or two genuine puzzles here, but having to use the chalk the way you do is ridiculous.

A good time waster

I can't help but ask. Is it even possible to solve the food puzzle?

I looked carefully at the clues, even used every deductive logic skill I knew, and I end up having to cheat in the walkthroughs. It could probably help if you tried to test the hints and see if there were enough to solve this without guessing. As far as I know, it's downright impossible.

Nice but so very random,

Its well done, in theory. But in practice it require moon logic and lots, LOTS of clicking everywhere with everything to find the clues we need.

And yet i like stuff like submachine, myst ect. But for yours i just dont have the patience to fumble around for ages.

Still. Good effort, you even got it translated in a multitude of languages.
