The point IS for the ship's reaction time to require some patience and/or timing on your part. If it was as immediate of a reaction time as you're bitching for, then it would be too simple.

Good potential, but not quite there.
The biggest problem with this game is the lack of responsiveness between the mouse and the ships movement.
Being able to control the ship via WASD, or Arrow keys via an option screen would make this game 100x better.
Berzerk usually releases much better games than this. This is the first time I've ever been disappointed by one of their games =\

1st mate: captin we are coming up on a tiny ship that is collecting money!( Captin: Ok fire cannons in a pattern and spin this ship in circles! (1st mate: umm..but captin.. ( captin: I SAID IN CIRCLES!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Y'know... If you've ever played Touhou this game is amazingly easy. You guys know what I'm talking about.
I'd redo the pirate-flag-buff-everything items slightly, other than that though I like it :D Starting off with both the #4 and #3 chest and the #3 cannon, with a little warm up you can go all the way to the 3rd boss without any speed items and have a crapton of gold. Fun little time waster if you're bored.
