good, but...
*Buying EXP-granting In-Training items results in the exp bonus being applied twice - once atop your 'regular' training bonus, then again after it displays the in-training bonus. I exploited the hell out of this.
*I used POW training more than anything because it required significantly less time and interaction than the other training.
*It would have been useful to know ahead of time that the level cap was 30, so I could better plan out which abilities I chose.
*The other trainers that challenge me on a random basis are ridiculously weak. Do they not like money? What's worse is after you beat the game, The King becomes one of them and his end-game monster becomes just as weak as any of the other trainers'.
*POW-reducing abilities seem to stack. This is why Unihound can beat everyone ever.
Those aside, I do think this game is good. I spent a lot longer on it than I meant to. Something that stood out to me: I did like how I wasn't guaranteed a win on the first tournament I entered and instead I was thrust into the harsh reality of 'your pet sucks and you actually need to make him better.'
