Reviews for "Dear, Princess"

Excellent. The simple animation was great and the message was classic. This site needs more animators like you if you know what I mean.

@Hoboweasel
Sometimes videos get posted on newgrounds that aren't just stories in and of themselves. Sometimes videos are here to share a message, and the best way to get that message through is through simple measures. Like Leonardo Da Vinci said: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

There have been so so many videos on the site that blatantly shove things in your face, there really is nothing in this video that wouldn't make you think of the message if you never heard it before.

You can argue that Christianity is a religion, however even a quick glance at the differences between it and most every other religion that exists, you would know that it is completely different. While most religions are about all powerful gods that made humans so that they could rule over them, the God of the bible made humans so that he could love them. In all honesty if any religion wants to embrace the concept of religion, then no religion should be thinking of their religion as a religion, as by their definition, religion would be a thing that isn't true, something that is made by man, as they use that word to define other religions they are not a part of and that they think are just plain old not true.

Not believing somebody elses religion does not make you a bigot or intolerant. We do not hate people of other religions, that is a common misconception. You are not a bigot if you think that all murderers are bad people, because you know it's wrong, yet somebody still might argue against you, that murder is ok from a certain perspective, and that just isn't how the world works. Like it or not, one religion is right and all the other ones are wrong, and I personally believe the right one is Christianity. Telling others they are wrong is not being bigoted, I see people telling Christians we are wrong all the time, yet they are seen as smart, wise, knowledgeable people while a Christian can't say the words "Jesus loves you" without being written off as intolerant or racist or something.

thank you for the comments and review! :D

Kingdom Hearts Woot Woot!!!!! greatest game evva!!!!!! but animation was really decent, my only critique is that you should find some voice actors to realy bring some depth into your stories i would be willing for example and im sure there are tons of other unused good voice actors out there looking for sum work so just give it sum thought

nice to see kingdom hearts fans!!!
thanks for the advice, i will try it on my future animations :)

its funny how a crappy animation that bashes God gets good reviews, but a Good animation that is for Christ gets the rough treatment. Good work. Great message.

thank you! :)

The video was bearable, but only because of the quality of the animation. The story itself was disappointingly rough and frustratingly obvious at times; the constant narration (mainly because it pertained to the obvious, rather than the esoteric religious context of the story), was bland, vapid, and largely extraneous. The scene where the princess answers the door, because she noticed the knocking was coming from said door, should have been completely scrapped for being so painfully obvious; not to mention pointless if you already have the animation portraying all of this. Overall, the mildly aesthetic flash, in conjunction with the pitifully juvenile story, was mediocre at best.

Well it's a fairly good representation of your faith, and I certainly can't begrudge you just because you're religious and are trying to tell people about it. However I do take issue with you saying this is about Jesus and NOT religion.

Why should Jesus be separated from religion? I feel like people do that in an attempt to say that Jesus is above religion. See there are thousands of religions out there and Christians don't want their religion to be lumped in with the rest because they want it known that their religion is special because it's the only one that's true. But everybody thinks their religion is true. Otherwise they'd have a different religion. So in the end this attitude that Jesus is somehow different from religion comes across as bigoted and intolerant. If being a religion somehow indicates that it's unlikely to be true then of course every religion wouldn't want to be called one anymore.

Christians seem to sense that the religion boat is sinking in the rising tide of reason and critical thinking so they want off. Religion doesn't get the point across anymore so they want people to know that they're better than religion.

what i just meant by jesus, and not religion was that i was just saying the story of who jesus is as a person.
and you're right, it's up for that person to choose what to believe :)
