Reviews for "TOME Traveler's Guide"

Despite how good the TOME webisode series is, TOME is one game I would not like to play. There are two things I'll criticize right now. The fact that your design needs to be approved by the creators despite being user friendly? I'll bet there are a few people who won't like that. And the game auto choosing the class for you? That's one decision I'd like to make myself. If I were to make a character for TOME, it probably wouldn't be quite how I envision my avatar unless you also happen to have a class similar to Arthurian Knights.

I'd play it. Gotta say the amount of thought behind this world blows my mind for a flash series. I hope to see more of your work in the future and T.O.M.E. when you have time for it.

@shade you know there is a character in a Sonic game called Shade the echidna, not hedgehog. Wow you must love to copy DS games alot NOOB.

All right! Make it happen, world! I know I'd play!

Username: Hebishadow (Hebi as character name)
Class: Spellcaster
Power: Ophiuchus

Weapon: Snakes
Sub-weapon: Hidden Dagger

Skills:
Snake Summoning
Malleable Body

Shed-Form a new body inside of the current one, and crawls out from the old body's mouth, disabling status effects.
Curse-By sacrificing some HP, any opponent's attacks do equal damage to the opponent.
Illusion-Opponent frozen, gains Fear status (if something like that exists).
Intrusion-Enter an opponent's body for a small time, taking control of them.
Thousand Snakes-A huge amount of snakes come from within Hebi's mouth, restraining opponents and dealing damage.
Eye of the Predator-Gains a damage bonus on a selected opponent, effect ends when damaged by another opponent.
Massive Summon-Summons a huge snake as a pet, in return for half of Hebi's current HP. Snake has triple the sacrificed HP, so it is good to use in the beginning of a battle.
Bite-Stretch out Hebi's neck to bite the opponent, draining their HP slowly. Effect ends when damaged.

Appearance: Average Male shape. Medium height, long pale gray hair. Skin is pasty and pale, almost light blue, extremely smooth, without wrinkles. Eyes are dark green, with snake-slits as pupils. Wears a black robe with a red snake pattern wrapping around it. Glove-less, wears several rings, silver with various black patterns. Straw sandals on feet.

Personality: Quite avid with roleplaying, not so much as Nylock, but close enough. Hebi is very studious, looking to understand the whole world as a whole. He lets off an eerie aura, only strengthened by the fact that many attacks involve him stretching out limbs or spewing things from his mouth. He enjoys reading and lore, and absolutely hates hackers, doing his best to put them in their place. Quite shaky with the good/evil thing, preferring to sit on the sideline of morality, holding an ideal that the world belongs to the one who takes the initiative, and such things as moral decisions are for the weak and indecisive.

Playability: Hebi is very suited to single combat, due to his powers being focused on single targets. Also, he relies on powerful moves in order to end battles quickly, as many of his effects require him to sacrifice his own health.

Stats: Low on speed and strength, but high magic power and an exceptional endurance, to make up for the large loss of HP that comes with his powers.

I'll come in a while with art of Hebi. I'm away from any kind of way to draw digitally, but once complete, I'll post.

MAN, I WANNA PLAY NOW!

I thought this, as per usual, was a wonderful masterpiece.

In addition, I was wondering how much support there would be for a pen and paper RPG system for TOME. I have some experience in d20 systems, and others, so I may be willing to craft said system. However, I would rather not if there isn't at least some support for it.

So, how many of you would actually use a system, were it built?
