Reviews for "Zelda the Welder"

3 Days... You deserve a slow clap, guys.
I really liked the look and feel of the game. Art, Music, Gameplay and overall quality was really nice for a Game Jam game. Congrats on that.

You could've made one thing better, though, cause it seems people were having difficulties to figure out how to cut. It would've been better if the buttons for the saw, plate and welder were colored differently. Then use that color to highlight the "saw" in the text with the corresponding color. Or you could've just let the player begin with the saw.

Other than that, I congratulate you on a great Game Jam game. Good luck err'body. ;)

Thanks FuNaNdMoRe!

About the confusing, we added some arrows so people get it easier :) Glad you like it! We worked so hard on it haha

Thanks for the review!

Zelda have realy weird family

MonoFlauta responds:

I hate them too, but this one got really cool heh? :D Glad you like it and yes, she is a WELDER girl, and not only a WELDER girl, the BEST WELDER in the world! :D

Thanks for the review!

I loved the humor and the dialogue! I felt that was really top notch. Everything seems incredibly polished. (And of course the music is AWESOME)

I feel like your only lacking area is intuitiveness.

The art is pretty awesome as well. I'm sure this has been said before but the initial reaction to the game is pretty confusing. At first I skipped the little speech bubble and said had absolutely no idea what to do. Something like that *needs* to remain on screen. There was also little feedback from the tools themselves. I thought I was supposed to click where the green light is with my saw, but I just kept clicking around until it randomly worked. Having it light up when you get near the right area would really help.

Also what was frustrating is the fact that the cursor is relatively large, and has sparks coming out, and that makes navigating on super thin lines really annoying. Perhaps at least making the starting stage a bit more lenient would help a lot more players get into the game faster.

I also felt that the time limit did more harm than good, at least in the first level. After 3 attempts at restarting the game and trying I still couldn't beat the level in time.

I'll give it another try but other than that, incredibly amazing work!

Pretty good game.
It's a happy , cheerful and not at all disturbing version of Dark cuts.
There is very little to do here, but because of the precision required and the time limit, it's very challenging. I like that.
The mouse movement wasn't up to the mark. Sometimes, I went out of line when I was visibly within the boundary and sometimes I got away when I went out of boundary.
The animation and music was pleasant.

Overall, a nice and challenging game.
Keep up the good work.

MonoFlauta responds:

Thanks, yes this isn't like dark cuts lol

Glad you liked this game and about the mouse going out, we gave people a "fail zone" so it didn't became so difficult

Thanks for the review!

Nice one, expecially for the cartoon style... the game play could be worked better with some adds like money, tools, work-list and a less linear progress. Good work anyway

MonoFlauta responds:

ha yeah, sad we didn't have time for that, but sure would be come something bigger! :D

Thanks for the review!
