Reviews for "Amiran"

While the game does have a nice ambiance to it and good artwork and music, I'm afraid what shot you down three whole stars in this review is the MANDATORY REQUIREMENT of you having a gamersafe account just to be able to do many of the things in the game like =SAVING=. I'm sorry but when you have to make it mandatory to use other sites and logins that just don't need to be used, it will bring a negative review.

Better luck next time, hopefully you'll give us the full content and not demand outside sites next time.

I can understand your frustration. The GamerSafe system is how I was able to avoid pop up ads etc in my game. It's quite easy and free to create an account on GS. (Takes about 20 seconds.) There is of course premium content for sale through GS. There is also much content available to every user regardless of whether they get any of the premium content.

If you're going to post on NG then make it so we can SAVE ON NG. Or local save. I'm not signing up to your website. Shame. it looked like a decent game.

I mostly don't like your game. This is why:

-Gamersafe:
Here's a tip. For your first game, don't go running around looking for every possible way to make money with your produce. You want to get your name out first and then work your way up from there. At least you should have taken up a sponsorship to get publicity. Now you've sunk to the bottom, having to rely on social networks to publicize your game. Gamersafe contributes to the zeros of this game, whether you think it's just or not. I'm not going to contact TOM FULP, even if i liked this game. Maybe you should contact Jesus and ask if Gamersafe was really a good choice, amongst oh so many other mistakes, inspired by tha lord.

-Graphics:
This isn't really a game as much as it is a picture novel. Yeah, that's right, a picture novel. The animation is dry, with great pictures and plenty of reading. It works itself out to be somewhat slow.

-Religious banter:
You put in your description: "I'm a cool guy" followed by "Worshipping God". It doesn't get anymore egocentric and bronze aged than that. This is only appropriate to mention because of the "jesus king of kings, lord of lords" statement at the beginning, and poorly attempted hidden bible messages throughout the game. You've lost most of your audience already because of other flaws, now you want to say it loud and proud that you love jesus... Congratulations. I know what you'll say too: "Hey you can hate the lord if you want, I mentioned him because of my personal relationship". I don't care about your personal relationships with deities.

-2 years in production:
Then again, you're probably used to wasting time at church also.

Seriously, no one can properly review your game because of your improper cause to implement religious propaganda through this medium. It leaves a bad smell in your game. A smell that is not desired, nor can it be ignored because of its potency. And now you're left with this anti-climatic ending... the ending that has torn the faith of your game after 2 long hard years of work dedicated to tha lord, along with a big minus on your pay, spent on contractors, and whatnot.

I enjoyed reading your review and it gave me a few chuckles.

1) Everyone is promoting an ideology or religion in their content. For some its atheism, others consumerism, or other religions. You have made your point quite clear that you hate Christianity and like to mock it. Your comment that my cause is improper really shows your disdain for others' views. It's not any more improper than anything else on this site.
2) I'm not attempting to hide any messages in the game. I'm quite open about my beliefs.
3) Your comments about how I should promote the game, the time it took, and my personal artist profile are all completely unrelated to the game playing experience and further augment your fuming review to be exactly what it is. A vent of frustration against a message you don't like.
4) I'm not going to ask Jesus if GamerSafe was a good choice. ;)

Have a nice day.

A nine minute video tutorial? Just make a tutorial in text, nobody likes video walkthroughs, the same applies to tutorials. Also, learn from chick fil-a and oreo - don't go on about your religion if you're not a religious organization or a priest or something. Because a lot of people wouldn't agree with you and they have every right to rate the game down for it that a christian has to rate the game up for it. The combat is repetitive and boring, and the story is mediocre. I DO actually think the three different intros is a very good idea, even if each one is only ok. I couldn't get all that far because I have to make an account on some website in order to save. Seriously, that's an awful idea! I'm not going to make an account, I'm just not going to play much and think less of the site. I also am getting really annoyed by the constant stream of the word "gamersafe." I get it, it's you sponsor! But does almost every popup have to have gamersafe's logo on it? Even the achievements require an account! Finally, though the premium content is kind of annoying, it's really not nearly as bad as most premium content. I'd say that wasn't a problem. However, many people hate premium content. You'll probably LOSE money overall because of the lower rating. You want to make money so badly, get a job or make really good flash games, like this COULD have been if it wasn't for the giant black hole of gamersafe sucking in the rest of the game. Still, some of the game still pokes through, enough to show 2 stars.

I'll be honest with you, this game has potential. But there's just so much that takes away from it, that the diamond in the rough is made flawed. Gameplay wasn't bad, foes and environments were drawn well, especially foes, they were drawn beautifully. Music wasn't a total let down, and battles weren't bad. However, as I said, this game has quite a few problems.

1) The religion thing. I don't believe in your God, and I don't want to. I don't really care what you believe in, and it is wrong of you to try and shove your religion down my throat. Try and keep that out of future games, please. And last I checked, Jesus was benevolent. Why would he want someone dedicating a game about violence to him? You, sir, have a blinded view of Christianity.

2) AP limits, and level up requirements. You see, I played for a while as a Mage character. I had no real qualms about my HP limit, I was a mage, it was supposed to be low. But my physical attacks did next to nothing, and my AP was so low, I found myself using a Green Elixer, or two, after every two-three battles. It made it almost impossible to save up gold for equipment upgrades, and was a waste of my time. Also, you go from level 1 to level 2 in two battles, but then you suddenly need a massive sum of experience to go from 2 to 3. It makes things much less fun, and nobody likes to grind. This didn't help the AP limit issue, either!

3) It is an insult to me, yourself, and the gaming community as a whole, to require players to log in on some other website many of them don't even know, JUST to save their data in your game. This website is Newgrounds, sir. Everything, by Everyone. We do not want your other website, we do not want to register them, and I'm sure many, like me, don't even want to visit them. Please leave that out of your next game. If you can't allow players to save their game locally, without having to visit that stupid website, then don't make the game, please.

Honestly, liked the game and gameplay, hated almost all of the content. You should really think it through next time you release a game. Better luck next time.
