Reviews for "The Sorrows"

How the hell is this a tribute?

Because The Simpsons are a truly inspirational series.

child hood ruined

yeah, people are right about the "animation" being somewhat limited. but the vision that you took on the show. we're all so used to it as a comedy... but this is so bleak, and you can easily imagine the drama that could truly exist in their universe. it's frikkin scary!!! woah.... and I'm a long time fan of the Simpsons. so this hurts a long way.

Dark and unsettling - I liked it a lot

I lost my ability to even. Roses are red, violets are blue, what in the actual fuck... All my wat goes to you.

A rather brutal rendition of the simpsons- and there's something to truly appreciate here, however- I've been so accustomed to the simpsons being a show that treads lightly (come now... Talking the early seasons, let's not go past the "We need a guest every other episode" line) when it comes to serious matters and generally takes a lighthearted look at the denizens of Springfield inbetween chalking up matters and morals.

The reason why I took off 1.5 stars is that the animation feels slightly incomplete and detached. I would imagine that you intended to imply things (e.g. Maggie) rather than to spell them out for everyone- but this works when there is adequate context and "crumbs" to lead the viewer to a reasonable conclusion. This feels like I just watched the last episode of Lost, on the other hand. Where there are bits and pieces strewn about that I can recombobulate together as I see fit- but I'm confused just as much with my extrapolation.

Cheers,

To me the Simpsons seem like a childhood dream. But as I dive into it, I sometimes feel more and more estranged. It's not a bad feeling though.
