Reviews for "Dragoncon Battlemat"

awesome, though a bit buggy. nothin that hasn't been said before. but i have to ask, anyone know of any downloadable programs that work similar to this?

mwmdragon responds:

There are a bunch of downloadable programs that allow you to do this.. but I wanted to do it in HTML5 ;)

I can tell this has some great potential, and the theme is quite obvious and the tokens are unique
However, I did see some problems
The zoom with the mouse wheel, it either doesn't let you scroll across the map or I can't figure it out
And when you want to make multiple maps, you have to manually change them every time
That and the chat in this case seems kind of pointless considering DnD is suppose to be multiplayer...

mwmdragon responds:

The zoom in only a way to look at more of the map at once.. sort of like an overview.. however due to some limitations it centers the screen on zoom out and in.

Maps are made on the fly and I have not implemented any form of map save yet as it is so quick to put together a map.. it's great for randomly rolled dungeons as you play so that everyone around the computer can be a player and not really require a DM.

As for multiplayer.. this is a muliplayer around the same PC version (Version 1.0) the chat area is more of an information area for dice rolls and other system information.

A walkthrough would indeed be nice.

mwmdragon responds:

One star rating because you don't know how to use something is rather harsh. Remember "Vote Fairly! hater votes and Ass-Kissers don't help anybody!"

Needs generic buildings and such otherwise cool.

mwmdragon responds:

There is a lot more that can be added, but it really increases the size of the download so I was thinking of releasing themed packs instead of one giant release. As version 1.0 this is many hours of playable content!

Could use a tutorial build or prebuilt demo level to get players engaged in the game and how to use the tools.

mwmdragon responds:

There is the quick info that pops up on loading and then there is a help button at the bottom "?" that explains everything.
