Reviews for "Ideal People"

@Narvatar
You misinterpreted the statement in the video. He's saying everyone is born with their own special traits that make them just as good as everyone else while still being special. HOWEVER he didn't mention anything about where said people grew up, how they were raised, etc. And he didn't clarify that everyone actually focuses on their stronger 'stats'. Some people may never even discover their ideal qualities and many people may never be able to take advantage of their specialties. For instance: You have one guy who is good at art and another guy who's bad at art but would be great at making dubstep. However the guy who would be great at making dubstep may lack the funds for the tools needed to make it.

"Everyone is born with their own unique abilities however they are not born with equal opportunities." - Me

ADASport responds:

This is what we want to base the college course on that will cover this cartoon. Thanks.

If everyone had equal opportunities, this sort of dumb, naive idealism might hold some credence. As it is, people are extremely unequal in absolute terms. This is not because of genetics though, as human genetics are relatively equal between all people. This is because of the nurture (environmental factors) which have some people born in rich countries and others in poor, some people born in the working class with little access to nutritious food & education while others are born into the capitalist class and have every advantage and every opportunity handed to them on a silver platter.

ADASport responds:

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback!

Naive. It's simply not true. This kind of mentality is nice, but far from reality, and thus is dangerous. It's a decent animation in terms of visual style, although I've seen better.

Anyway, you don't need me to explain why this is wrong, as I'm sure many other reviewers here already have done so. But don't be so fucking naive. Open your eyes and see that disparity among people exists because of simple principles of Mendelian genetics and probability theory.

It's really easy for the well-endowed in talent to think like this. But it only hurts those who suffer the lower rungs of the ugly truth.

ADASport responds:

+1 for the Mendelian Genetics reference.

Hm, I guess I cannot find to much wrong with this animatin to complain about.

But yeah, nice simple short statement.

ADASport responds:

We thank you!

Loved it! I couldn't correct anything without changing the meaning and style

ADASport responds:

Thanks! We appreciate the feedback!
