Reviews for "Wrip an' Vinkle: No Evil 010"

It has an uncommon start, which catches the attention, a well developed plot and a sweet animation with bouncy physics. The only downside would be the audio. I don't know why, but it's unsetteling me. Either way, I think this is great, well done.

I clicked on this on a whim, without knowing any of the characters or any bit of story line.

I was hooked within the first 30 seconds. From the witty lines, to their clever design, to that beautiful ending scene this was great to watch. Now I'm off to see the rest of this series. Good job, I loved it.

I love this series, I in particular love how you combined Wayfaring Stranger and Ain't no Grave, into one song for the ceremony. Keep up the awesome work.

Overall This Movie has an Intriguing Story.
Love Song in this Cartoon, It Really Sucks you in to what they are Ceremonially doing.

I liked this episode greatly, partly because of that awesome song, but mostly because it sets things up for Ichabod that I just know you're going to use later. This episode and the one before it were both about Ichabod, even if only a little.

For me (I have no idea if this was your intention, but it makes Ichabod a deeper character if it is true) this episode establishes a bitterness and resentment within Ichabod that I don't think can just go away. Kajortoq literally blamed him for the Brom Bones incident from the previous episode, saying it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been feeling bad, as if he's just never supposed to show depression.

Based on how nervous he was when he asked Wrip out in the first place, we can tell he doesn't ask girls out often, and this may have even been his first time. If the first time he asks a girl out (a close friend, no less) and she humiliates him, that's going to leave scars.

Then the guy she actually loves falls victim to the sleeping sickness (I can't spell what it's actually called) and he figures out how to save Vinkle. Did Wrip ever apologize to either Ichabod or Vinkle for the race? Did either Wrip OR Vinkle ever thank Ichabod for saving Vinkle's life? In the end, only Kajortoq thanks him for his work, and his expression says it's a hollow victory for him.

Ichabod reads signs and omens with 100% accuracy and never once has he been thanked. Hatfield would have let loose a swarm of Chupacabra had he not dragged the group to town.

It seems like Ichabod puts forth so much effort to help others and gets so little in return and this episode really brings that out. It has to be eating him and he doesn't appear to have anyone else to really talk to about it. I can easily see this playing in at some point, I just don't know how, or if, you will choose to go that route.
