YAAAAY!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Such a great idea, but so crushingly disappointing.
Chibi Knight was a terrific game - I've beaten it multiple times and it remains a classic. This game is very similar in that it retains the same charm and appeal, but fails terribly in a few crucial elements. I love the artwork, adore the game style (was a sucker for Zelda II; this is better!).
The interface for quests is very poor. I love having the quests, but you can't easily dig them out of the quest menu to figure out exactly what is going on.
The difficulty is EXTREMELY high. The game relies on trial-and-error style puzzle solving, as there are several blind drops wherein you can't possible know what lies in front of you without doing it first, invariably dying, and then going back after it. The same can be said for bosses; after dying a dozen times it's pretty clear what you were supposed to do.
Last, the lag. Good God, the lag is horrific. It makes "playing" feel more like "forecasting", and the speed jumps in and out. I have a new MacBook Air - not a gaming computer but probably faster than an average consumer's machine. Worse, when I reload the page, the game is fast and playable again - for about 10 minutes before it bogs down.
As an adult, I would -love- to love this game. I would -love- to buy the full version. I would also -love- to throw my computer through the window if I dropped cash and then couldn't play the game.

The lag is a result of porting a game designed for PC back to the web. The web version doesn't have this problem, so I'd encourage you to check it out. I'd also recommend playing in fullscreen mode (press F) to reduce some of the lag.
Difficulty is a touchy thing, I actually nerfed the bosses a LOT from where I think they should be, but all games seem "hard" at first imo.
For the quests, you really need to read what the NPCs say. I know that's unpopular, but you'll enjoy the game a lot more if you do.
