Reviews for "Dead Detention 2 #1"

Heh, by the way you are building around and avoiding Chronicle Bulletin, I got a feeling it will be the series with the most exposition about Clear Moon :P

;-)

I admit that this was a weird entry in the series. It's mostly because there were no zombies. You still created some pretty good minigames. It just didn't add up to much. I still like the animation. It was kind of fun to do these mundane things.

It was a lot more realistic this way. It's nice to see it end on a cliffhanger like this. The music was nice and stylistic. It was fairly fun. A bit more zombies next time.

Hm... Didn't expect to see a whole new series for Dead Detention. Looks like the start of something interesting though.

I think the story tokens are a decent way to have something new to do in these episodes. Finding out more about the story by poking about is a good idea, and I usually replay at least once to find the golden astronaut anyway.

The item equipping thing, however, seems redundant in this episode. If you're going to turn it into "these are some things you can use to resolve the situation, but picking some of them result in failure," then it's all good, but "equipping" a certain item at a certain time for a certain situation every time isn't any better than just clicking to progress through the story.

Between Chronicle Bulletin and Dead Detention 2, you have some pretty interesting stories going, but what I'd be REALLY interested in is what, if anything, happens after your Chaos Girl series (for those who don't know, Chaos Girl is supposed to happen after Dead Detention 2 (or perhaps during parts of this series? We'll have to wait and see I guess)). I've wondered who/what the moon king is, if Clear Moon is going to come crashing down or whatever their ultimate fate is, etc.

But by all means, go ahead and keep doing your thing the way you're doing it, you're doing it quite well.

It'll all make sense once everything is released- promise!

Not really a game... Maybe the author should concentrate on movies or something, this isn't interactive enough to me...

JackAstral responds:

Fair enough!

Another fun zombie themed game, but the story token idea was terrible. Having to replay the game just to find story tokens is tedious and takes away from the fun of the game. This game would be worth an additional star more without story tokens.

The medals work, and I earned them all.
