This was AMAAAAAZING!! :D It was really worth the wait! All of the episodes will be around 30 minutes lenght? If that's so, that's SWEET!! Can't wait for the next episode! :>
I want also to say a small thing/idea: when the characters talk with the speech bubble, you put there a specific icon for them, butt... maybe you could change that icon / portrait of the character depending on the situation, just to feel more.. dramatic I guess, but meh, that's not a mandatory thing, and you'll have to draw all these specific icons for specific texts and yeah, could take some time, now you're the artist here, and you know what would be the best :) And as an other improvement, I have nothing to say, the episode is just GREAT! ;)

never have I ever had this much fun watching pixel animation. i loved this. music was awesome too.
Looking back over your past work, this is by far the best animation you've ever produced. Seeing this series come back in such a full force has tugged on the nostalgia heartstrings of pretty much every old fan, myself included.
Your fight choreography is as strong as ever, and it's refreshing to see that the dialogue between the characters has been revised to be slightly more heartfelt as well. And the decision to change the Mario v.s. Wario race into a duel certainly was needed.
I can't wait to see more, and I'm glad to have been a Patreon supporter! Keep up the great work!
