Reviews for "Deterministic Dungeon"

Very, very original game. Would play perfectly on a smartphone! I love how deep such simple gameplay can get you.

So... The game becomes a walk in the park once you unlock the green totem with the weapon that does 20,0,0,0,0,0,0,0; after that point you start dissing out twenties like there's no tomorrow and the world crumbles at your pixelated feet, I'd advise for powering both the power and the weapon down a little bit. Aside for the slowing power that breaks the difficulty once unlocked, the game is very well done and the concept is neat.

I love the concept, but I think you should go all the way with it. For example, let the player determine enemy damage. Also, it is a little annoying that you have to start all over when you die, but if it's that kind of game I'm fine with it. And awesome work on the art!

The game overall is pretty good but I don't like the fact that if you die you have to start all the way from the beginning. You can save the game but if you die you don't restart from the last save-point? That really needs to be changed because it really changes how people will feel about this game and it will cost you some stars in the long run.

I like it, but it's far from perfect. Scrolls, like the self buffs and healing, need to be usable outside of battle and enemies scale too fast. I'm stuck on the second set of levels as the enemies can now do 5, 6 points of damage per shot but even after 12 levels I can only do at most 6-7, not enough to carry myself through the 3rd set. Needs some balancing and some more variety and it would push this game from good to great.
