Nice platform!
Still, there are some issues that need to be fixed:
1) lag;
2) the character sometimes responds difficultly to the commands;
3) grammar errors.
Btw, nice game. Kinda reminded me of Newgrounds' old times.

I'm gonna give it a 2.5 because it's great but I cannot consider it a playable game in the sense that it's too basic. Press X till you kill stuff. Did not find anything to compel me to continue the game.
Still, loved the art. It felt for a moment I was back in 2005
So far it looks good but the gameplay needs improvement. After landing, the character seems to be unable to jump again or shoot until the landing animation is over which can get very annoying. I found it easier to just let him get hit and use the invincibility time to finish off the enemies until they drop a shot upgrade, which can destroy enemy projectiles. Enemies will often drop parts that can be thrown but they hardly do more damage than your regular attack and they can’t hit projectiles. Bigger levels tend to lag a lot.
Control is kinda choppy, the camera vibrates, and please don't let the instruction fade away like that-it disappears when I haven't finish reading. In addition, why can't I dodge or crouch? Adding those control will make it more interesting instead of just jumping and smashing button.
That being said, nice artwork and the story is not bad. This is quite potential.
