Reviews for "Fleshbound"

Good game overall, I liked the art-style, good sound design, controls were responsive although the shift-arrow for fireball was a bit weird, and I ended up totally forgetting the dash and finishing the game without using it.

Biggest problem I found, was that the last boss is very exploitable. If you stand to his side, in a way to activate his side attack but just bellow enough not to get hit, there is an area were you can beat him by just walking slightly away when he fires the fireballs and then returning and spamming attack.

But good job overall.

Good art. liked most of enemies design - although I found the first enemy most difficult as there was no strategy around it. Music needs improvement - it wasn't extremly bad but 2/5 - not bad but not enjoyable either. Dash was for most parts useless. Shift was terrible choice I was constantly dashing when I wanted to shoot. Really enjoyed the changing room - that was cool.

I have mixed feelings about checkpoint vs healing. If I get checkpoint after every "room" why not healing as well?

Good entry for LD. Shame you put it so late as I would rate you during LD.

Thank you for your constructive comment ! We'll take them in consideration for later patch.
About the checkpoint/healing debate, we thought about that at some point, but we wanted to let the opportunity for potential hardcore player to try to beat the game in one life by not adding "forced" healing, while still making the game easy enough for more casual gamer :)

I didt like the ending. It didt make me feel like I won. Over all I enjoyed it

Fun little game, nice 8 bit feeling. Needs a pause button.

This game was very cool, great graphics, characters, controls, sounds and taunts. The boss looked great and was of moderate difficulty.

The only drawback is that the game is very short. It ended just when I got the full hang of minor things like what is the reach of melee attack and what are exact attack patterns, hit points and tactics to use against certain enemies. I wish the game were 2x or 3x longer to put this in use. I replayed the game several times until completed it with only dying once, but it's not as satisfying as simply a longer game.
