Reviews for "not really tennis"

I don't agree with some of these high scores. 20Second high score of 44 can't surpass that of 600.

So nice that the highscore systems don't account for the game crackers.

I don't want to say it doesn't take much, but that was super fun.

5 stars for turning a classic game like pong into a fun new version

ahm... you might want to check out my game Pomg then ^^

(not rly proud of this game, but it makes me happy that you liked it!)

I thought there was something fishy for the very high scores (>500), but it turns out these people aren't cheating!

There is a mechanic in the game that, when a ball hits a wall at a shallow enough angle, the ball will stick to and "roll" along the wall, which counts as continuous collision. If you can get it to "roll" along the score gate, it racks up tones of hits.

This can be done in most levels by hitting the very top of the angled wall below the score gate, while aiming roughly perpendicular to the score gate. Likewise, you could hit the very bottom of the angled wall above the score gate. This lets you score hundreds of points.

To get to the very high range (1000+), it involves getting the ball to ricochet enough times to be going very slowly when it makes the final hit to roll along the score gate. I wont spoil exactly how to do it, but needless to say, it involves finding the right level, a very good bounce pattern, and extremely precise angles and character positions.

To me, finding and executing this strategy adds immensely to the game's fun and difficulty. I'd like to request that this mechanic not be "fixed" if possible (;

Of course, it is dev's choice and I'll respect whatever decision is made. Thanks for the fun game!

It's a great game, but a little buggy. It glitched 2 balls to constantly hit the wall in 20 second mode, and now I'm #5 in the all-time scores.
