I like it. It involves a lot of lucky guessing, as there is nothing to base your first try on, but I enjoyed it. That level 31 is hard, really had me frustrated for a while. The endless mode is a nice afterthought, fun for a handful of levels.
On the lag issue: what I don't get about it is that the lag seems to get worse very close to the end of the levels, with barely any ships left. Maybe the ammunition gets tracked far beyond the screen or something?
Nice game. A bit laggy on later levels, but fun nonetheless. Simple and elegant interface and structure.
If you get stuck on bosses, go all out rams, nothing but rams.
