Reviews for "Explore, Expand, Exploit!"

It's a pretty addictive game. One that I wish could be played in a separate window and screen increased to full screen. There's a lot this game has to offer, and I feel like playing it in such a small screen ruins the experience because of how much scrolling has to be done (Which there isn't really an easy way to scroll around without holding down awkward buttons that I feel shouldn't really be used in this case.). It would be pretty cool if you could make a downloadable game version of this so we can do so much more easily. One that will allow us to play this full screen.

And that would solve the next problem I have. In that I'm not sure how this game is saving data. I assumed it was through cookies. However, I have been trying to play this game, and so far I've lost my save data 3 times. I've done pretty well not to hit the new game. Which I think MIGHT be the reason I might have lost my save data the first time. There really need to be a warning box that comes up to avoid us losing our save data that easily. I cannot figure out why my save data is literally not able to stay for long. I have tried manipulating my settings for cookies as much as I can, trying to make sure they're not getting deleted (Though there's not much I can do on that front). Nothing I've tried so far as worked. And I can't keep this window open 24/7 as this game uses flash and flash for some reason takes a huge toll on my computer.

If it weren't for the issues I was having, then I probably wouldn't have any issues with the game. Fixing the two main problems with this game would probably make this game an instant favorite in terms of time killer games to play when I'm bored. If I could download this and make it it's own thing, then it would be perfect, and could replace almost any time-killer game I play.

Very promising, and fun to play when everything was working.

However, after launching for the first time the option to build outposts disappeared. As in, the button just no longer existed. I hit the save button and then quit, but reloading put me back at the start of the game.

Fix some stuff and this could be really awesome!

Thanks for the game!

Great potential, yet it's unfinished, which is a real shame..

I played a few hours even, and I could ignore the unfinished detail still, having only crashed once because it overloaded chrome. (perhaps an idea to make this game in a browser-cookie game like cookie clicker?)
It got slower with the time, and the stuff that is unfinished did too.

My biggest issue was that there was no way to get coal.. Which I needed to advance further.
After upgrading everything and collecting a lot of resources and Science I supposed it was time to start over.

And here is where your game shouldn't be called a 'game' yet in the state it is now.

I couldn't even advance , all I did was stack relics.

This game is unfinished.

I liked the fact that I there was a lot of depth and thought and obviously you put a LOT of attention in all the detail and programming.

But the way itis now, right now, is not a whole game.

Call it a Beta version next time you decide to bring out something like this.. This doesn't disappoint that bad, and does not give wrong expectations.

Gratz with the front page though, I also can see why you were featured. ;)

Anyways, keep going, follow your passion and hope to see a finished version sometime.

decent game but having trouble scroolling down for the buildings any way to get to the right building

Interesting 3X strategy piece, first such flash game I've played or even known of. It's got its bases, but the audiovisual presentation is sorely lacking, graphics being of primary concern. It manages to be both minimalistic yet cluttering. As with any strategy game, you'll wait on resource gathering to build more and progress, but in this game it's nothing but numbers rising. Yet I did not stop out of boredom in waiting, I stopped because I stopped having fun after some 20 minutes, having expanded out a couple of layers, finding coal (the icons of which added to the clutter) and feeling my eyes cross with confusion, coupled with trying to invoke the memory of what I can build or ought to build next.

In few words, the game's just too cluttered after a while and becomes too confusing to make out what's what for me to enjoy. Becomes a chore, then. I would've completed it once before reviewing, but it just plain stopped being fun for me. I like strategy mainly because I like watching my lands grow and prosper, thrive. There is far too little in the presentation of that here and it does not suffice to keep me going. So I'd say work on that above all else. A lot of potential here, however, this could well become addicting to more folk.
