Hey I think you've exported your game on C2 as loading suggests.

It's a nice simple game done by a quartet.

I don't think that's cool to make games on C2 and then export on C3 tho.
Seems a bit unfair as everyone had to deal with C3 issues during development and that was sort of a part of competition.

We made a really early prototype/mockup in C2 when the theme was annouced (J-1) and opened it with it in C3 the day the jam started. I guess the logo is here for that but I can assure you all was made with C3!

The core game is pretty fun. I could see this doing well in any of the mobile app stores if it was polished up a bit.

The only thing holding it all back is the over-long dialogue scenes. I suspect most people ended up skipping them, which ultimately means they added nothing to the game's enjoyability.

If the game was more complex, I could see the need for a deep story, but it's a fast paced reaction game and the long dialogue scenes kill the intensity. I'd suggest trimming them down to 2-5 lines per scene to get the core story points across and get the player into the action ASAP.

Oherwise, it has a great look and is very snappy to play. Keep up the good work!

The dialogue is fun and quirky, though uncomfortably stereotyped at times, and some of it paints an interesting story. Artwork, SFX, and music are all spot on.

The gameplay seems repetitive at first but introduced higher health enemies and new enemy types while gradually increasing the intensity of the waves does manage to keep things very fresh and enjoyable. One thing that strikes me as off for game-balance purposes is that Jr. is in a far more disadvantageous position compared to the other two characters, having to fend off two sides that are shorter distance at once while his parents only have to fend off a single long-distance path to them. It's rather telling that Jr. was the one I had to panic the most about, and how it was ultimately Jr. getting hit three times that ended the game while the parents I didn't have to stress about. You have a fun game but there's a stand-out weak link in keeping a fair balance in difficulty for the player.

The screen being split into three is a good concept. The art is simple but good. The setup and backstory I didn't like, I just didn't like them or like hating them. The soundtrack fits the visuals nicely.

Great aesthetic, nice music, decent sfx. The gameplay is an interesting twist on the old Reanimator game; fits very well with the jam's theme. Though I got to say, I did *not* care for any of the dialogue. Just skipped it all.

... Was this game made in Construct 2? The loading screen said C2, but this is a C3 GameJam.

I changed the loader style for "Progress bar & logo" in the project properties. The C2 logo is by default, we'll change it anytime soon.

The gameplay is a prototype, we focused more on the aesthetics / sound design / story to begin with, it seemed more important to us.
