Good stuff, except for combat, which is bogusly boring. There should be more to it than having Space bar pressed when an enemy is close.

First huge props to your menu designer and cutscene artist, both of those were absolutely fantastic and the rest of the artwork did well for itself, as did the music. Aesthetically it holds up quite well. For the most part so does the gameplay, combat's a little stale but the boss fight was nicely done, combining puzzle/platformer elements very well.

However I found the instructions to be given rather quickly instead of being in easy reach for the player to reference which can leave a player stuck for a little while, which can be a major drawback to gameplay. As this was basically a single-level game having the instructions somewhere obvious, whether accessed from the main menu or pause menu or someone posted the player can find easily, is preferable to giving them fast instructions they can't access again.

I want to wish all fellow game designers and artists good luck in the Construct 3 Game Jam!

So far this has been my favorite of the c3jam games. It has superb graphics, nice music, fairly good gameplay although the levels are short -- leaves me wanting more. I agree with t4upl tho, it could use better in-game description of the controls or any description in the author comments... even after reading t4upl I was all "why isn't the X key opening the chest?" and a few minutes later was all "oooohhhh, that was talking about the X button on gamepad; only the E key on keyboard works for that". Persistent (not briefly appearing) descriptions in the background of the opening area are the way to go IMO, but that's pretty nitpicky considering it's a gamejam.

But wasn't there supposed to be a "three" theme to the jam?

I didn't like it. Put controls in description! I know you get them at the begining of the game but I bet most people (like me) press skip as soon as they can. I lost a lot of time in first level because I didn't know that you need a key to open the chest and press "e" standing next to it. Upon death in second level my character became unresponsive at which point I stopped playing,

Great game, gotta love a team that listens to the community. I will tell my friends to try this game, the boss fight has some great competition elements.
