Reviews for "String Theory 2"

Great game. The voice-acting was excellent, and introducing a plot to a puzzle-game was a nice touch.
I wonder, is there a String Theory 1 game?

LunarGamesDev responds:

Indeed there is! You can now play it on Newgrounds as well:

A very interesting game and the addition of a plot was a welcome surprise. The voice acting was very serviceable which made for a nice bonus.

The game mechanics were unique and I don't think I have seen anything quite like it before. Points for originality. While it was easy enough to get a grasp on there were a few sticking points (sometimes quite literally). Sometimes the sliding trays would get caught on the other bits of the level and get stuck. It was frustrating to get the square to land on its point when i needed to cut a line, this was doubly frustrating in the latter levels here you had to cut a line in the right spot. Also the points where you had to push an object with a flexible line reminded me of trying to wrangle a meatball with a wet noodle.

That having been typed, It was still a very enjoyable experience and I would love to see more from you using this base mechanic. There is still a lot you can do with this concept especially if you give it a little more polish!

Good job!

cool game to play before a maths binge for a little mental momentum or after for insight and application of knowledge to solve fun and interesting problems, really gets the mind moving in a different direction. no need to mention the storyline find out for yourselves

I loved this game, haven't played the first one but the story wasn't overbearing to the point of confusion and got me interested enough to want to know the backstory. The functions were interesting and the dialogue was amusing at times.

My main complaint about this game would be the blue strings, which I think should be made less tense or more easy to move so the player can more accurately shoot the shapes.

The background music was relaxing which is good for a game like this where headache-inducing music could make the difference between genuine consideration and an automatic rage quit.

The levels were complicated but still doable, and I can't wait to play the first game and see how it compares :D

I didn't get it at first, but then i tried again and had a great time, cool game
