Reviews for "Songbird Symphony v0.1"

I have no rhythm but this is a great demo and it's good to see this game finished development. The art style is endearing and the animation and design for the characters are extremely charming.

Love the art style and the traversal mechanics but the rhythm input is a bit off. I'm usually good at rhythm games but here the button press doesn't seem to register correctly.

As a musician, I love this game. It's charming and I love the concept, but it's also a bit laggy, which as you can imagine, is a bit of a problem on a rhythm based game.

Fun little game with a fair bit of charm. Simple to understand, but the controls took a little getting used to; I often confused my Up arrow key and some of the note buttons for my standard jump key.

The karaoke mode at the end was interesting, but as I got to the second half, either by fault of all the confetti particles lagging the game or whatever, I disliked the shift to how I had to press the notes on the off-beats, which really threw me off for a second since it didn't feel like I was playing the same melodies. The challenge mode, however, lives up to its name... even with only three buttons, the timings seemed quite... strict, maybe even harsh. I feel like a setting to change the quality (or have it default to Low automatically, since it's a pixel game) or a means to tone down the confetti showers would go a long way.

I am not a musical person, I am bad at these musical games. I also don't enjoy games that are about button pressing as shown on screen, it is not my favorite genre, but this game was beautiful both visually and audibly. The peacock was very funny and on overall the game has a very uplifting feel.
