Reviews for "Wasted Time"

once again, you've created a good movie, with nice animation, good graphics, nicely drawn characters, deyailed backgrounds and a cool story.

i liked that you've shown old jokes from your older CC movies: namely, the olde succumbus-clock calendar, complete with a playmate's drawing on top of the calendar's month.
also, i liked the detail that rob-clock's old ''daily 4th'' award was still used in his room, but now it was used as an ashtray.
what a disgrace, what a low use, for such a good trophy! (boo!) .

also, a good joke was, that, you've depicted your old (clockday) movie with dancing rob-clock,
and it wasnt just shown in your character's laptop, but it was (eventually) projected into the CC's mega-party, when it was inserted into the TV as well.

with that being said, the final scene was very funny: phantomcat criticised (yet again) the lack of effort in rob's movie, and rob-clock decided to punch him in an act of pure internet-badassery.
but alas, he failed, for phantomcat-clock is non-corporeal, he's a ghost, dare i say! :O

good movie, nice animation, great drawings of the characters, nice work overall.
happy clockday.

The Speakonia voices gave me a hearty chuckle. There is something really endearing about this animation. It is like a simple, bespoke rocking chair someone's grandparents might own and it conjures a warm nostalgia. I think the most visually fluent scene is when the protagonist sits down on the ruined couch and lights a cigarette with a sigh and turns on the television and flicks ashes into an old trophy. If I were an actor or a playwright or a writer of any kind, I think I would describe that scene in a simple sentence if I were storyboarding it or blocking it for a play or acting through it. It is a straightforward, evocative scene that shows us more than tells us, which is always the sign of great creativity. You sense a semblance of melancholy, which is not lost on the guitar, which seems to amble on like a small funeral march. Well done. Kudos to RobertClock & to GoldenClock.

OK, so I watched this a bunch of times now. That's how good it is.

I mean, the story is great. It's something I relate to both as an old friend and fellow clock dealing with the balance of real life and love for this site/the CC.

But the reason I love it most is seeing how much you've developed your skills in the near-decade we've known each other. The drawing style itself is just fantastic... your ability to convey emotion with the clock faces is top-notch. The FBF animation (the cig lighting and punching thru P-Cat come to mind) shows such a subtle attention to detail... Just really great job overall.
