Gets too repetitive too fast

The basics are there. The game mechanics seem to work fine, but the gameplay gets very very repetitive really fast. The only thing I can do in a battle to damage an enemy is a simple attack. The animation gets old really quickly. Also it doesn't involve too much strategy to only press that one button. Some magic elements would be a nice thing here, you could then create monsters that are immune to certain magic attacks and vulnurable to others.

You should also add a mute butto nas the music also gets repetitive very fast.

Also there seem to be some bugs in the game. When you switch monsters the stats change, but not the image. Then the "experience needed" stat seems to be off for the second monster.
Also when you just leveled up, the "experience needed" stat also displays the wrong number.

Overall the game has a lot of potential, but right now it gets too repetitive too fast.

oks thanks a lot for the review... i am accepting ideas for the second part

So much promise...

Sadly, what let this piece down was that it appears to want to be a Final Fantasy style game, but with no real plot to it. You just go into the "city", visit the shop and then come into the wilds, to punch the crap out of a few monsters, before rinsing and repeating.

The menu looks really impressive and the way that you've got a nice selection of music is great as well. Sadly, the game graphics and mechanics let the piece go here, which was a shame. I'd suggest that next time, you start with a story and go from there, so that we can see the story develop as you get further into the piece. Mini games can come in handy here, like collecting items for people, while at the same time having to deal with the wandering monsters and level up. Try it out.

oks thanks... well this game will have a better second part with all the things that you suggested and more. PS: How can be this a final fantasy? XD

Extremely glitchy...

Hello,

While I like the "pokemon" style gameplay you have going on here.
The actual programming is really glitchy.

I played through the game and kept on attacking a monster, and no damage was being done to it. I restarted the game and tried again, & I did manage to play a bit longer before the glitch occurred again.

The drawings are decent, but still lacking quite a bit, you should have
hand drawn everything, instead of mixing those low quality images you have in there with your drawn stuff.

They way that those images are currently presented seems really sloppy, and out of place, and destroys the whole illusion of the universe you're trying to create.
There isn't too much animation either, aside from some basic tweens.

I also wasn't sure if there was a story or not, it always helps to have some kind of a narrative to motive people to play towards some sort of resolution.

I know programming can be hard, so I can sympathize, unfortunately the game
just felt way too glitchy, and rushed in comparison to other similar better games.

Sincerely,
- Celx

oks thanks a lot for the review... we are making the second part!

i liked it

Man the game is really nice, there is a basic concept, but there is any bug, I couldn't find anything! Awesome!!

The game is very simple, there are a lot of RPG games here on NG, but there are few ones that doesn'thave bug, what is really nice... The game programming is very good, it doesn't have any problem on clickoing things and oter annoying things...

The only complain is the little city, you could make more things and shops, with new itens, such as Zelda... The first part of the game is very easy, but it's gettin even difficult, i liked that, most RPG games are so easy, and others are fucking hard, it's nice to play a challenging and cool game!!

Impressive game

Ok now you have a very impressive game here, the graphics like the backround look very detailed, i live the little detailes you added, the game play that kinda reminded me of final fantasy, but maybe thats the idea you were going for, it ran smooth and i like what you did with this, hope to see more games like this from you in the future

Improve on stuff? well i thought the game play could be slightly faster like when attacking, and i wouldnt mind a larger screen to enjoy more of the detail in the art

~X~
