Reviews for "The Guardian Chapter 2"

well

its pretty fun for a Zelda knockoff

UknownXL responds:

Is that a bad thing? Or a compliment?

great game but...

first off i love the game. the nostalga alone makes it worth something great. i only have three small issues. the first is as alot of people had said the increasing lag as you play. the second and this may relate to the first but the boxes that you have to push in the game with your sword are confusing. i had no idea you could do that and with the lag even when i was doing it right after trial and error i saw no result. the final one is actually where i am presently stuck is the switches in the third dungeon. I know the combination but have no clue to which one is 1st, 2nd, etc. and even through trial and error of which i have no time for right now it is a decent amount of possibilities. sorry to put any damper on what is obviously a great game but i assume their may be others out hear with the same difficulties.

UknownXL responds:

You may be in the wrong room. There not hit switches. They are switches you stand on. After you get the combination you leaved the bombed area and move straight to the right. In the farthest room to the right there are 4 switches and you must stand in this order.

haters.

yes, theres some issues with latency for the game, but lets face it ricky and musik, you're both just macing with little reason. If you have issues with the game gen locking your walk cursor, its because your cpu cant handle the flow of graphics, press space bar to bring up the options and lower graphics to med/low, it takes a well up-to-date cpu to work it without lag. As per being LoZ, stop it right there. Every birdseye view adventure game is essentially the same, be it LoZ, Beyond Oasis, Golden Axe series, or Sonic 3D for that matter! Now that that's out of my system, time for the critique:
Its a very smooth flow of graphics with a very responsive controls, all making the game a very well thought experience. I've noticed every monster I've come up against took exactly 3 hits to kill (only been to the 1st 2 islands though). Perhaps it would do you well to adjust the hp of enemies to enrich gameplay? I have never seen a crab that resists me for more than 2 chops unless its atleast 4x my size. I've encountered a few spelling errors on the 1st island 1 being the guardian teacher saying "you must find Osiris" as well asa few gramatical errors on both the forest kid telling you to kill the goblins and blacksmith that hands you the map to the 2nd island. Other than that, its a sound story that would be great to invest on. I'd like to find more on this lost legend of the guardians (perhaps add in fragments here and there? Legends never die entirely, only fade into shadows.) Also the major thing i didnt like is the lack of in-depth iinfo. a sign saying "grandpa's house" ...either a result of 1) creativly challenged mind 2)rushed/lacking interest on the developer's part or 3) some VERY cruel parents. For these i give you -1, after all: whats an RPG without the RP?

UknownXL responds:

Thanks for the in depth review. I will take everything you have said into consideration.
I will make the changes for the 3rd installment.

Where's Princess Zelda?!?!?!

Perhaps not the most original thing I've ever played, but it was certainly solid and entertaining!

UknownXL responds:

Thanks for the feedback. Its greatly appreciated!

its a good game but it lags and i cant find the swords or shields. great job though
