Reviews for "RPG Shooter: Starwish"

epic

awesome bro, long time i dont play something that good

there are some bugs though

ship gets stuck against a corner sometimes, or rather, its like the up or down button was stuck, specially after being hit (my keyboard is fine) and it gets really annoying, actually, the only time ive lost is because of this, i think it happens after recieving a hit

nother one is that i tend to change between weapons a lot and they get stuck OFTEN and the only way i could possibly unlock the numbers is by pressing the weapon im using, say if im using the machingun and its stucked then i have to press 1 again

so, to end positively ill say this: awesome game dood

I play this on Armor games

I finish the game on lvl 57 on hard i waste almost 1 hour killing the final boss

Great game.

This game is awesome.
Characters were rather well developed, and graphics were pleasing to the eye.The music was wonderful.

The game had plenty of room for the player to think of various strategies to play the game, which enhances re-playability(after all, there is more than one way to win this game). Not to mention there are,I suppose, various endings, further enhancing re-playability.

Just like what Blackfang2023 had mentioned, the story is what makes the game one of the better games of side scrolling shooters.Of course,it also scores points for how complex the game really is-like stats, upgrades, weapons, etc.

I liked how when the spaceship went up and down the screen, the background and the obstacles seem to move relative to the spaceship's position.

I found the obstacles to be a bit unnerving, though, and perhaps a trifle unrealistic. For example,my projectiles(and the enemy's) were blocked by things like leaves, branches, rocks etc.Personally, when technology is so advanced, such obstacles get blasted out of the way with just a laser beam.
I also found it rather annoying that while some obstacles cannot be shot through, they can be flown through by enemy ships(For example,in Fortress City if I'm not wrong).

Of course, the game is still,in my opinion, perfect in its own right.I enjoyed playing the game and I'm sure you enjoyed making the game as much as I enjoyed playing it.Hope to see more of your work.

Awesome

Cool game bro.

Alrighty then (Spoilers)

Beat this on Kongregate, but I figured it would arrive here eventually. The story is extremly good for a flash game, with bright colorful graphics and intresting characters. I am disapointed by the limited selection of music, though.

The shooter aspect is well done, if a little repetitive. Enemy placment in world 2 and 3 is actually clever, with shields defending strong attackers and the turrets being placed in just such a way that they arn't so easily beaten. The game overall felt challenging without being cheap.

The date-sim part is something that, while being well done, isn't something I enjoy. The random nature and hidden event qualification combined with multiple endings make it all but impossible to really see everything. I did read some kind of guild on how to unlock the endings, but it was so complex it just gave me a headache. I would have prefered if all the characters were avaliable to talk to after every mission, and it's simply a matter of talking to them the right amount of times, rather than hidden requirments. it's just that this part wasn't my cup of tea.

The crew's backstories and history was quite intresting to read, and it's obvious you've put in a ton of effort into their characters. Personalities and everyone was well beyond what's seen in almost every flash game, and even some larger scale releases. Seriously, well done. i would love to see more games (maybe smaller mini releases) based on this universe and characters you've made.

I must say that this truly is a wonderful game, despite my personal dislike of the cryptic date sim part. It's not flawless, but it's pretty close. I am a little dissapointed by the New Game + and Hard Mode. I have no idea what extras hard mode had, but I didn't see anything super special. I also would have liked it if New Game+ didn't increase the difficulty. It would have made hunting for all the medals and endings a lot easier if on my 2nd time through, I could power my way through everything.

Final words: Well done.
