Reviews for "Number Ninjas"

It's good, but it can be great

I thought this could have been a great game, until the point where the order of which things to come is also an issue for no reason.

At level 4 or something you need to make 4 while you are an 8. You have a 6, a 5 and a 3. you've got one plus and two minuses. I wanted to do: 8+5-3-6=4. The game wouldn't let me for some reason because it's coded so that even though there are multiple solutions of wich the order is in, the game only lets you have one order. That is annoying because this makes you unable to think you want yourself, but how YOU, the creator of the game, set it up to be. even though your solution might be more easy to get, I like to make the solutions in my order. It is annoying that the game does not let that, and you just die because of it and have to restart.

If you can make sure that the order of which the equation is solved isn't restricted to just one option, I would love to play it again! Keep it up and make more stuff like this!

Great Attempt

It is so refreshing to finally get a game with a brilliant new type of gameplay, no extra eye-weary fancy flashing nonsense, and a thinking-required level advancement. That aside, however, the game is somewhat lacking in certain areas. The major one, in my opinion, is the "platforming". Jumping in this game is broken. I should say, jumping between platforms is broken. It so frustrating to carefully plan out your course, time your moves perfectly to avoid the guards, and have the last number turn his back... just to completely not jump to the lower platform and instead fall into spikes and die. With repeated trial and error, you can eventually pass the levels... but that's not all the the point of this game, right? The point is able to use your problem-solving skills to advance to the next level, and I feel as tho the poor addition (no pun intended) of the platforming aspect takes away from the beauty of the main theme. If you're thinking about a sequel, take into consideration the refining or just the removal of platform-hopping. Good attempt, lots of potential with this idea.

Oh the errors...

I really enjoyed the game, fun visuals and puzzles (I wish I had this back when I was a kid, instead of math blasters). The only problem I would have to say about the game is the glitches that show up during the "boss fight". Enemies would die without me attacking them and it would affect my game positively (using the right symbol) or negatively (using the wrong symbol and killing me). I also didn't understand if there was supposed to be some sort of pattern in the boss fight, I just had to do it countless times, memorizing the numbers that would come, then as soon as I turned into a zero, I spammed the multiplication symbol until I won. Other than that a very fun game.

some people arent real gamers

everything was fine with the game, i like that i had to plan out my routes before actually heading into the stage in the later levels, made me feel like a real ninja. i liked the final boss fight, but i found a trick to just
become the number zero then multiply by everything
. i wish the final fight was a bit harder. yeah the jumping sucks at some parts but it really just put your timing to the test. loved it and waiting for a sequel.

improvement needed

this would have been a good game, but the fact that the jumping sequence was absolutely awful was definitely a downer. Please improve on this, it took me at least ten minutes to complete stage 5, just because of the fact that i kept missing the jump up to the number 8.
