Reviews for "Bullet Audyssey"

Absolutely Amazing

I have to say, this is the best bullet hell game I've ever played! As a fellow programmer, I can tell that whoever programmed this game is an amazing programmer; Support for playing any song with any level (after you unlock it), graphic equalizer, non-lagginess.

To the game designer, you're also awesome! I love how you have to graze bullets to charge your weapon! Each and every level has a pattern that can be used to beat it! (maybe a hint for each level would help the people getting stuck?) Tutorial on the loading screen FTW! I've been playing this game for 4 hours, and have unlocked all the badges! This is unusual for me as I usually ragequit after it gets too hard. I found the game difficulty just right to keep me playing!

I love how after you unlock the jukebox you can play any song with any level. That and two player mode mean near infinite replayability! The music was very well chosen and because of this game I've discovered Tettix. I love his music!

Good job guys, 4 thumbs up!

I love you.

amazing!!!

i love the new generation of games the ones that have the music not just setting the mood but reacting to the way the game works the bullet waves change considering the way the music is going this game is fantastic i will admit though it is a bit hard but it dos not make you rage quit because of the way it is beautiful graphics i love it the way you get upgrades many epic well made boss fights
an amazing game 10/10

Great beats, great game

Well before I understood that the beat actually controls the attack style, I quickly figured out that a pretty calm intro followed by a brief pause meant the real shit was about to go down. The game and the music deliver perfectly in-sync, and the music is pretty nice original stuff. Lovely upgrade system- all seven of the upgradable stats fit neatly together, though I especially like the rationing of ships. I had to set -2 as a hard limit for myself for how bad I can afford to do in any level, then drive that number down in previous stages after I'd accumulated enough skill and power in order to proceed late-game. I love the difficulty curve as well as how fun it is to go trounce earlier levels that gave me hell when I was half as strong.

I actually thought it was too hard (yet fortunately quite addicting) at first. And it would've been if not for two very important factors/tips for those who've never played the game:
1. Don't shoot for gold with every new level. In fact don't shoot for gold with any new level. You're supposed to get that by going back after you've leveled up enough. Which will occur with the natural flow of the game.
2. YOUR HITBOX IS ONE PIXEL. See the white dot in the middle of each ship you get? That's your hitbox. So long as an object doesn't touch that one pixel, you'll be all right. And you can fly right through the speakers. This only dawned on me during the credits, wherein I figured out I couldn't not take five punches from it if I couldn't slip between the letters.

Seriously awesome!

Finally managed to finish the final boss without losses and it only took about 45 minutes.
The game had great basic idea and the execution was done magnificently. The style was nothing too fancy and it matched nicely with the techno beat.
Best game in Newgrounds in a long time.
(if only I had slowmo button in touhou, i just might be able to finish it)

rete i love dubstep
