Reviews for "Rise"

I like the idea but there are several factors that make this an un-enjoyable experience in my eyes:

1) It is too easy to get to the top, with no incentives to save money and no fear of dying.

2) The CEO is too powerful when compared to the monsters you had to fight on the way up.

3) Your probability engine / calculator (whatever you want to call it) is wrong. On my 3rd play through, I chose the Barbarian Class, using the "Stab" attack against the CEO, I missed 41 out of 47 times before I rage quit. Your text reads that it will miss 35% of the time, either I should have spent my time better this evening putting on a lottery ticket with those odds, or your engine is wrong ...

Hyptosis responds:

The 35% is on top of the dexterity roll. I can see the confusion though, sorry about that.

medals still not working for me.
I really like your art style, so I keep coming back.
I was hoping this would be more like Rose, but instead it was a bit more like SkunkMeat. By that I mean, you can take an easy path or a hard path depending on who you play, but in the end theres not as much strategy or reason to use many of the skills.

fun but a little too easy. maybe increase the health scale to both hero and monsters for longer battles and add a level system and monsters should get stronger faster.

Good game.

My final battle (as a monk):
Me: Bomb (20 damage to final boss)
Me: double damage potion
Me: charge attack for double damage next turn
Boss: swing and a miss
Me: Koshun for 225% damage - 100 damage to boss, instant kill.

XD

Hyptosis responds:

Played like a true badass monk. Except maybe the bomb :P That was dirty.

Barbarian is op, charge + stab = delete
