Reviews for "The Enchanted Cave 2"

Awesome!

Ok, it's a really good game, I love it, so lets start:

+100 floors
+a lot of equipment
+a lot of monsters
+interesting story
+random generation

*almost no bugs

-sometimes repetitive
-have 8 fire daggers
-repetitive music

anyway, its awesome

My review:
This is easily a 5 star game, and it has a lot of potential. If you were to make it have around 500 programed story mode floors, then an endless amount of randomly generated floors after that, it would be quite the game, one I would even pay for! It would be interesting to try to set high scores based on how far you travel into endless mode with no shops, and the enemies get gradually harder.

SPOILER GAME GUIDE AND TIPS

General must know tips:
>when you leave a dungeon you ONLY KEEP GOLD ITEMS (they are highlighted in yellow)
>there is a spell in the mage skill tree to bind items (turn them gold)
>you can combine ingredients into potions in the craft menu, these can give great buffs.
>you can enchant items at the furnaces with ingredients to have PERMANATE EFFECTS, this costs mana but very important to do.
>Eventually you get ingredients so you can enchant your gear to give you mana or hp after each kill, this enchantment is called "regeneration" not to be confused with "restore".
>box chests contain ingredients, metal chests contain armor, green chests contain consumable itmes such as pick axes or potions, and red chest contain golden items.
>always put your level ups into attack, I've tied everything, attack works By far the best.
>there is 80 floors
>when fighting bosses MAKE SURE TO SWITCH THE COMBAT SETTING TO SLOW.

DIFFERENT CHARACTER CHOICES
theres 3 skill trees, and I have beaten the game 3 times, using a different tree each time. I learned that its not a matter of preference, certain skill trees are simply better then others.

Warrior- This is by FAR the best skill tree, try to put your points in the attack boosts first. You will one hit kill everything. You also get a massive xp boost in this tree. Soon you will "Out level" the game, meaning you will rack up so much xp on each floor, that your character develops faster then the difficulty progression. TRY TO KILL AS MUCH MOSTERS ON EACH FLOOR AS YOU CAN. Also try to enchant your gear to have HP REGENERATION. Using this plan I beat the game only leaving the dungeon A SINGLE TIME. This is the EASY way to beat the game.

Mage- This is the second best skill tree. Get the heal spell first, then transmute to bind gear to your character. Put all your levels in attack. Enchant your gear to have MP REGENERATION. hold click enemies to check for a weakness, and exploit it. Note that unlike the warrior, this class has a shocking lack of defense. You must be careful not to needlessly waist your resources killing everything on the floor with this character. had to leave the dungeon 5 TIMES using this character. This was my favorite character however and was fun to play as. To beat the game with this character the difficulty was MEDIUM.

Bard- This is by far the WORST skill tree. If you enjoy dying, slow progression, and headaches, this is your class. This Character has a shocking lack of defense, and attack. ALL of his strength comes from potion stack. You must be VERY carful on what you choose to kill because each kill lowers your potion stack. The best way to use this character I found, was to horde ingredients, and then chug them all at once. You will be immortal, but only for a short time. I had to leave the dungeon over 10 TIMES an spent 3 TIMES as long trying to beat the game. This is a very tedious character choice. This is by far, the HARDEST way to beat the game

Side note to Juanipif (the commenter beneath me):
you are a total noob, THERE IS NOT 100+ LEVELS! You clearly did not come even close to beating the game. The fire dagger is the lowest level bindable item you find around level 10, which tells me you just grinded the bottom floors over and over like a total nub. ITS REPETITIVE BECAUSE YOU JUST GRINDED THE BOTTOM FLOORS OVER AND OVER, THAT IS TOTALY UNESSISARY IF YOU HAVE HALF A BRAIN.

It has a lot of room to improve, but this game is GOLD. Simple and very addicting. This is what some RPG fans are looking for. Hoping for more improvements. Great job!

Great game, once again had the pleasure to play it. Lots of game mechanics I could've explored, but I'm an alpha damage guy and obliterating everyone was fun!
